Eric Stanford stood in front of a large crowd at the 11:00 a.m. briefing and explained, “We’ve received word from Chicago pd that Jayson L. Riley, prime suspect in the murder of his lawyer, Henry Baker, has disappeared.”
The meeting room exploded with chatter. Stanford held up a hand and called for quiet. He continued explaining as a hush fell over the room. “Chicago pd found his vehicle abandon in a rural area. A search of his office turned up his passport. They’ve ruled out international travel, believing he’s on the run in the Midwest.”
