A wilder and more flamboyant honeymoon week has never been seen on New Providence! Jack has kept his promise and allowed me to sail with him on the Gallant under the condition that I disguise myself as a man so that his crew wouldn’t revolt. A woman aboard is seen as terribly bad luck by mariners, who speak darkly of defying the ancient taboo. I have taken delight in both dressing as a man and honing my skills with a blade so that when I encounter that bilge-l*****g Captain Low, I might see to his demise in the most painful manner possible. In the meantime, I have managed to win the hearts of the crew with my cooking.
