CHAPTER NINETEEN Tina had an early viewing of a property in the morning, so had decided not to stay the night with her new lover. She always drove too fast, but despite campaigns by various parent groups, Hawksmead did not have speed humps or cameras apart from the one near the humpback bridge, for which Tina would, in all probability, receive a penalty ticket. She was still shaken from her experience after the tea party and was convinced that she was now seeing ghosts, thanks entirely to her involvement with Audrey’s house. Grade II it may be, but she wished Spartak had bought it and razed it to the ground.
