"She said that to you too?" Tiana asked. "Yep but anyway I wasn't going to dress up as a princess, and did you just say 'you too'?" Suzan said. "Yes I did cause she told me the exact same thing." Tiana told. "Well she didn't say that to me." I said through my phone. "She didn't? I'm not shocked." Suzan retorted. "Why not?" "Doesn't everyone knows that you prefer dressing up as a llama then a princess." That was Tiana. I blinked and smiled even though I knew that they couldn't see me. "Hey that's a great idea. I can dress up as a llama." "Oh no you're not dressing up as a llama. Nope I won't let you. I'll tell your mom." I sigh of course my mom won't let me dress up like that. Calum who was sitting in front of me, was drumming his fingers on the table and looking at the menu. We were in some cafe near the Ice skating place. He noticed me staring at him and smirked at me. "Ain't done checking me out?" He says. My eyes widened and I looked away. I heard gasps coming though my iPhone. "Is that some guy?" Suzan literally shrieked. "That didn't sound like Caleb." Tiana said. "I uh, bye." I said quickly. "You're not–" I didn't hear what else Suzan was about to say cause I cut the call and sighed. The waiter arrived, he placed the cupcake and and a mug of hot chocolate with two mini marshmallows in it, in front me. I sipped the hot chocolate. Gosh it's hot! I blowed the content in the mug. Then took a sip again and it too burned my tongue. I gave up and instead picked up the cupcake which was resting on the plate in front of me. It didn't burn my tongue like the hot chocolate did. The silence was getting awkward now. "Do you like bread?" I bilked, did I just say that? Someone bury me in Mount Everest if that's even possible. He looked up, amusement shining in his eyes. "Why do you ask?" "I don't know I've heard about people having allergies from bread." I stuttered. "No one have allergies from bread." "No, some do." I said nodding my head, my hands sweating. "None do." He argued back. "Maybe I heard about people having allergies from milk." I said, trying to look thoughtful. "I–I guess I want to go to the washroom." He said slowly eyeing me. He got up quickly and rushed to the washroom, he looked back at me as he entered the washroom. I sighed. Great now Calum is added to 'I think Ferrero is crazy' list. I took another bite of my cupcake. He returned in a few minutes and cleared his throat. I looked up. "You know you could have just said, 'I want to get to know you'." He tried to mimic my voice but failed miserably. I raised my brow. "Come on I just googled, why do girls act awkwardly in cafes." I blinked, well I blink every time but this blink is the sort of blink that tells you 'I don't know what your talking about'. He sighed. "How about we just play a game of twenty questions?" I asked. He nodded. "You go first." He motioned me with his hand. "What is your favourite colour." I asked the lamest question. "Black." It's obvious, since he'll always dress in black, he has a black motorcycle and even his bedroom's door is black. "How will you describe yourself in one word?" How will I describe myself in one word? "Awkward?" I said or mor like asked. "What is your favourite fruit?" I asked another lame question. He thought for a moment before answering. "Berries. All sorts of berries." "Even cranberries?" I asked, I don't know many people who likes cranberry or maybe I have none. "That'll be two questions." He said. "Describe yourself in two words." "Um really awkward." "That's three words um, really and awkward." I rolled my eyes. "Really awkward." Then I asked him the question that has been lingering in my mind. "Do you like cranberries?" "I do." He said, nodding his head. "Do you like Caleb?" He asked smirking annoyingly. My eyes widened. I didn't expect him to know. No one except Tiana and Suzan knows that I have a crush on Caleb. "I don't." I said confidently, but I wish I could say that. Yes I stuttered while saying that. "Like I'll believe that. Your turn." And so the game went on, and I even ordered two more cupcakes. My phone went off. I answered it. "Heya girl, we're going for costume shopping, will you join us?" Tiana said through the other side. "Nope." Was my reply. I heard some talking in the background. "You're coming with us." Suzan who I'm sure grabbed the phone from Tiana. "You're not going to run out of this." With that the call ended. "I guess my friends wants me to join them in the mall." I chuckled nervously, they will ask me about the guy's voice they heard who also happens to be Calum. He nodded his head and payed the bill then we left. I got in his car and the awkward silence begin. "So did you know that llamas can hum?" I ask. He turns to look at me and blinks. "Really?" He ask before turning his attention back on the road. "Yeah. They hum whenever they are tired or worried." He nodded his head. The idea bulb went off in my head. I'm sure Calum won't dress up, seeing I've never seen him wear anything other that a tee and leather jacket with tight skinny jeans, yep he wears tight skinny jeans. "You know how about we decide each other's costume for Marcie's party?" I ask. He narrowed his eyes, but then smirked. "But not something that shows a lot of skin." I said and he nodded his head. "I'll go first, you should dress up in a, " I paused and counted five seconds before saying "Spider-Man." His reaction wasn't what I expected, he just nodded his head. "Fairy princess." He said, my eyes widen. "Who wears pink gown and is a blonde." My mouth fell open. "Look a fly flew into your mouth." He said pointing in my mouth." I shut my mouth instantly. "You can't do that." I say or more like whined. "You were the one to come up with this." He said as the car came to a halt. "Goodbye." He waved and pressed some button, just then the door opened. I sighed and got out of the car. The first thing I noticed is Suzan and Tiana watching me with their mouth wide open. I slowly approach them. "That car belongs to Calum McDonall." Is the first thing I heard. To be honest I hate lying to my friends so I don't but when I do, I get caught red handed. "Wait how do you know that?" Ask Tiana. "The windows were tinted and I've never seen Calum McDonall ride in a car." "Well I know his car number." Suzan rolled her eyes but then her eyes widened. We gave her pointed look. "What for all I know Caleb might be borrowing Calum's car." She said. "I wasn't with Calum." I say lied and thankfully I didn't stutter. "Ferrero." A very well known voice yelled. "What are you doing here." "How was your date with Calum." Another voice yelled. I looked at Tiana and Suzan, they were giving me the pointed look now. "Mom, Jenna what are you guys doing here?" I ask frantically. "My daughter is on a date with her," mom points her finger on Jenna. "Son, so we thought it'll be a good idea to discuss the baby's name." People were staring to look at us. "Mom? Baby? It was just a date mom." I whine, embarrassed by all the attention we were getting. I'm sure I look like a tomato. "Mum how about I tell you as soon as I get home?" I didn't wait for her reply, instead I grabbed both of my friends arms and dragged them into the mall. Suzan was about to speak but I cut her off. "I'll explain. But can we sit somewhere before I start?" The nodded. We went to Coldstone. I ordered a bubblegum and cotton candy milkshake. We took our seat in the corner. "Okay I was hanging out with Calum." I started my speech which I made up just a few moments ago. "But it wasn't a date. I lied to mum that this was a date, since she will ask always ask me about Calum. You know she will start scenario about me and Calum being a couple. So I lied about us going to a date." I completed. They were silent for a moment, before Tiana broke it. "All I heard was 'I'm not dating Calum'." She chuckled at her joke. I joined too hoping to get the attention off me. "So what will you dress up as?" I ask. "Not planned yet." They said in unison. "What are you dressing up as?" Suzan asked me. I thought for a moment, already knowing the answer. "A fairy princess." I said. Suzan chocked on her drink. Tiana rubbed her back. "You shouldn't kid like that." Tiana said laughing. "I'm serious." I said. They sobered up for a moment then burst out laughing again, but they stopped again since my face looked serious, or at least I think is looked. "So anyway did you hear Marcie's story?" Suzan asked. "No." I said the same time Tiana said. "Yeah." "What is her story?" I asked. "Her story about her visit to India and her tan." Tiana answered my question. "She went to India this summer." Suzan said. "She met a tiger, in some forest there, she got lost and a tiger popped out of nowhere." Tiana said. "The tiger talked with her, like talked with her. The tiger even told her that he was the tiger, Pi met." Now it was my time to choke. "That tiger even hunted some meat for her, but she told him that she's a vegan so he bought her a mango." Tiana said. "She slept in the forest, the tiger provided her with a blanket, a silk blanket. When it was time for her to leave, the tiger confessed her love for her. But she told him about how she already has a boyfriend." Suzan said. "The tiger cried real tears then he said that he was okay. And he ran away." Tiana said. "The end." They said in unison. We stared at each other and burst out laughing.
