Chapter 39: Lauren“‘Allo!” Lauren opened one eye to a high-pitched voice saying something foreign followed by giggles. Her head was pounding and pain shot through her neck and into her shoulder as she tried to sit up and get her bearings. That’s right. She and Silke had come home from the hospital and collapsed.
