Chapter three - The danger she hid

271 Words
Alexander hated losing control—of a negotiation, a boardroom, or himself. Yet Ariana had become a gravity he couldn’t break from. When she stopped showing up entirely—no messages, no appearances—he felt panic claw at him. The club staff claimed she had “taken some time off,” but their eyes didn’t match their words. Ariana, imprisoned by Viktor, signed nothing—but he intended to force her into a contract that would keep her indebted for years. Meanwhile, the media began circling Alexander’s private life, sensing a scandal. A rival CEO spread rumors that Alexander’s “stripper obsession” made him unfit to lead Ward Global. But Alexander’s only focus was Ariana. He traced her last known location to a locked back room in the club. Security failed to stop him— power and fury fueled him too deeply. He found Ariana sitting on a low couch, pale but unbroken. Her eyes widened. “You shouldn’t be here.” “You vanished,” he said, breathless. “I’m not losing you.” For a moment, the world fell still. Ariana realized someone had finally come for her—not to own her, not to use her, but to protect her. Something in her cracked open. But Viktor wasn’t finished. He appeared with a chilling smile. “She’s under contract. She belongs here.” Alexander stepped forward, voice low and lethal. “She belongs to no one.” And Viktor finally understood: he wasn’t dealing with a customer—he was dealing with a man who would burn down the world for the woman he cared about.
