Sari’s POV I ran off and slide into the driver’s seat; ignoring Den’s shouts. Slamming on the accelerator, I kept driving; trying not to think how effed up the day has been. Suddenly, I heard sirens and to my dismay, a police car followed. It asked me to bring my car over and so I did. “What’s the hurry, young lady?” the sheriff asked and I groaned. That didn’t mean I will narrate my sad story to him. I was with no reason left. “My… daughter is home alone and is unwell.” I bit my lip, as he scrutinized my face for any faux statement. Luckily, my innocent looks worked and so did the red-eyes with puffy face. He hesitated but let me go not before giving me a warning. “You wouldn’t want to end up in hospital before even reaching home. Drive safe and don’t let another officer catch you.
