Change of Heart

The dragon’s mouth got larger in each time it draws the fuel out from its magical energy. His jaws is engulfed by the blue heat and gotten overwhelmed a bit by the amount, letting some of the raging blue fire out from the spaces across its line of fangs.

When Selena completed her course of ritual, two blobs of water-like liquid are coating his swords and covered it whole. Juno spun his weapons twice in a row to figure the properties of her additional prowess towards the swords and the substance sticks to it neatly. While some of the water drop down from the streamline of his sword to the ground, It forms chunks of ice underneath his feet.

“Bash it to him, Juno!” Shouted Zeke.

The flame has ignited and thrown towards the three human hero at the moment. There is no time to think for Juno and his newfound ability, so he choose to swing down the spurts of water from his twin swords to the forthcoming blaze of the red dragon’s blue flame. Despite the minuscule dimension of the squirts, it flows big and turning into tides of water suddenly before the huge ball of fire.

(Crash!)

The two opposite elements hit each other in the middle of the two distant enemies and eliminating themselves along with the clash. The water ceased out by the proliferating heat of the blue flame, while the dragon’s fireball got shattered by the water’s natural counter-act properties against it.

(Blink!)

Juno waits for no time to pursue, knowing how much the abilities has empowered his attacks to unknown level of possibilities. He blinks in bullet-speed run towards the red dragon shortly after the magnificent brawl of their elements and having his own privilege to lay down an attack to the red dragon’s embodiment of rage.

(Clash!)

The dragon surely aware of the sword’s added prowess, as he tried to parry the attack with his sweeping tail. Juno’s blistering speed assisted him to avoid the danger, however, and giving him the power to clear out from the counter-attack almost instantly.

“You will not prevail, mortal!” The dragon warned him out of its breath, but Juno fell silent to the taunt from the mischievous beast.

(Clang!)

First clash of the water-covered swords has landed perfectly upon the red dragon’s back and the freezing abilities of its enchantment completely extinguished the blue flame across a small speck of the dragon’s body. Conversely, the ranks of the red dragon’s scale have prevailed against the full force of the human’s might and withstood its barrage of assault handily.

(Clang!)

He does the second time push to the same place of the dragon’s scales in hope of giving it a c***k. Because of his current position on the center of balance, the dragon could not reach him out to break his opportunity of breaching his sturdy defense.

Third time of successful hit of Juno’s one sword charade and the defense fell incapable to seeping it in entirely. A hint of crevice over the small areas of the scale’s formation is there for Juno to plunge into.

At last, Juno’s sword entered the flesh of the dragon and piercing his formidable scale after the fourth instances of attack. As expected by the intake from his sword, it was hurtful to the frail side of the dragon’s flesh as it finally gotten wounded for the first time in its life. This is not the end game for Juno and his triumph, however, as he springs hundred meters into the air before diving down inside the hole with the momentum he got from the jump.

“Aaaarrgh!”

The red dragon could not handle himself being annihilated inwards and proceeding to spew up bloods from its mouth. In spite of the dragon’s trial to let out a flame from his bowel, the hole upon its back and Juno’s water swords made it unable to produce the magical property of the flame properly as it relished for redemption.

After spending a lifetime inside a dragon’s stomach, Juno decides to call it a day and begin his escape through the very same door he opened up earlier. He felt the beast's exterior is hard to blow up, even from within, therefore putting Juno into trouble to get out swiftly from the beast’s gut right away and looking at his proud accolades of beating the dragon in one shot. It is fortunate that he still has the power to wipe out most of the dragon’s essential aspect for a blast of fire, or else he might be incinerated and dissolved in shame of his own mistakes.

“You did it, Juno!” Screamed Selena to Juno with lots of excitement. She is still shuddered by the amount of distress poised from the almighty dragon, but her doubts is reduced to bits with Juno’s admirable achievements over the beast’s humongous physique. Adjacent to her resides Zeke, which was also bouncing up in happiness with the brawl’s result.

On the other way, Juno does not getting as thrilled as the two,“Now what? Where’s our reward?”

It makes Zeke and his sister remember the actual goal that they wished for. With the dragon behind them dying, all of their issues should be resolved in an instant, but there are no forms of impact to the area at all. The bank vault’s building was reduced to rubble with its coins vanished to nothingness. There are also no other things than the red dragon’s carcass to dwell upon.

As Juno laid down his interest to the north, he suddenly smirks to the direction of his vision,”Lafath always wants to play something with us, huh. I’m starting to wonder what’s going on here.”

To answer the young human’s curiosity, He pointed his finger towards what he have seen to Zeke,”That’s that, man.”

While being busy scrutinizing the area, one unpredictable phenomenon happens before them. In faraway distance from the former location of the bank vault, a new one has appeared with similar amenities to its predecessor. It goes along with Selima city, which somehow returned from the realm of the dead and accompanying the lone vault to live on.

“Time’s to travel again, hahaha! Let’s go!”

With their current objectives running to the finish line, the three human’s journey for the new Selima city is not an easy task to fulfill. Abundant clusters of ghouls impeding the way and attempting to cross them out with their mass. For this one, Juno chose to decimate them straight away with his twin sword’s typhoon, while the two siblings picking their line with the mixture of protection bubble and numerous fireball from Zeke’s searing arrows.

In an hour, all they did was pulling the guts and cleaning their path across thousands of ghouls that appeared against their will. As they bring down one of them, a horde arrive to supplement its sacrifice and bringing a menace to their life at the time in almost immediate stint of time.

“Ugh, they’re everywhere!” Shouted Zeke while blasting his arrows to each of the ghoul’s eyes in sight.

“Keep your focus and kill them all. We’ll get there, brother.” Selena added.

With the two adjacent to each other and shielding their back against the horde of ghouls, they are completely out of the groups of beast’s reach to kill. On the other side, however, Juno has no one to speak with and moaning out his protest to the extent of Lafath’s degree of punishment towards his fault. This could be another pesky trial of faith from the grand demon’s decree among its hellish creatures.

In overall, His seemingly never-ending stamina were gradually depleting in every s***h he made towards the beast. Juno also obtained some ouchies from the horde of beast in opposite to his own effort to blast them off. However, much to the danger offered from the attack, none of them could apprehend Juno efficiently to kill him on the spot.

Nevertheless, their powerful mystical arts are sufficient to overcome the thousand all and approaching the destination afterwards. They reached the end of the runway shortly before the sunset after rigorous trade-off along the line and conclusively done their duty to enter the bank vault’s current office block.

As Juno gasped for breath after the consecutive battles they have to defeat, he peeked into the office lobby in order to locate any formidable threat inside,”Alright, there’s no one inside. Let’s move in.” Ordered Juno to the two of his teammates and leading them to the heart of the vault.

By the course of their way into the vault, Selena is pulling Juno’s undergarment and looking confused down her expression,“Why are we doing this again, Juno? That dragon is dead.” Said the little lady as she was being intrigued to Juno’s secretive movement. By the roller-coaster of events that they had beforehand, she already thought that everything was in control and clutching in their favor.

Zeke answered his sister’s thought with a pat over the head,“No way, Selena. We have to be aware on everything at all cost.” Whispered Zeke, keeping his dimmed voice as much as he could.

When they barged into the left doorway of the vault, all they could perceive are the lump sum of gold and three vacant modules up front. There are exactly three key holes for the human heroes with an empty scrap of paper above the table, which were leaning above three square boxes that adorned the lame-fashioned desk with its ornamental form.

“I’ll protect you both. Go put your key right away now.” Muttered Juno to the two siblings while assembling his twin swords to readiness for battle.

To their freedom from confinement of past misdeeds, the two siblings bobbed their heads seamlessly before running towards the box of exchange. They put the two golden keys from Lafath in their very start of life in the demon’s country and unlocked the boxes ahead of them in joy.

“State your wish for the terms, mortal, and it shall be changed accordingly.”

The bland voice uproared, announcing the methods for pursuing their interest over the three boxes of exchange. Being constantly encountered the demon king himself, Juno could recognize the tone’s similarity with Lafath. The two siblings does not looking interested at all with the voice’s identity, as they are being busy with their own errands to make inside their mind for the alteration of their contract.

After pondering of the previously-discussed matters to resolve for their current oath, the blank papers facing who were facing the two all the time gotten filled up with loads of demonic writings and renewed notions of their interest. Without delay or problems against the recent updates of the agreement, they quickly gather their personal pen to sign the contract right away.

Noticing how fast the two have been in doing their work, Juno shouts to them both,“Hey, don’t forget to check the terms before putting your own agreements, alright?!”

“Roger that, Juno.” Said Zeke accordingly.

“Yep!” Selena spoke short of her excitement.

A portal greets them both at once when they write down their confirmation to the notions embedded upon the papers. Together with their bright and beaming expression, they waltz into the portal and waved their hands towards Juno.

“Thank you! We’ll never forget your aid, Sir Juno!”
