Chapter 3 Those Two Are Nuts!

838 Words
Three men sat waiting for me on a leather couch in the large, lavishly decorated room.   A chair was placed in front of their couch.   I was shocked by what I saw. Is this even a date? This is more like an… Interview! Was my first thought when I entered the room.   It was followed by the reaction: Oh my god! They’re gorgeous! They were equally handsome, but in very different ways.   The man sitting in the middle was a blonde. His cold gaze gave off an intense pressure as he stared at me cross legged. It felt as though the room’s temperature had dropped as he stared into my eyes as he sipped on the glass of wine in his hand. He was like a ruler gazing down on a subject of his. I averted my gaze immediately from him.   Sitting cross legged to his left was a young man with silver hair. A blush appeared on my face when I noticed that the top button of his shirt was unbuttoned, revealing his clavicle and an amazingly muscled chest. He gave me a lazy smile as he held a cigarette in his mouth. It was as if he was looking at me like… An amusing toy.   The young man sitting on the right with gold-tinted glasses, however, was more normal compared to the other two. He did not display an overbearing aura, nor was he overly carefree. He was handsome, elegant, gentle, and much more reserved.    With the three literal Greek Gods in front of me, even I who had never thought that looks were important became flustered. I could feel my heart thumping in my chest even when I knew nothing about them.   Heck, they were not the only enigma in the room. I had absolutely no idea what was going on.   “You’re lucky, girl. We’ve chosen you.” The man sitting in the middle spoke up with a cold voice just when I was at a loss, “Sit.” his tone was commanding.   Chosen? Lucky?   Our gazes met when I cast a confused lance at him, and I could feel danger lurking within his eyes. I immediately looked away and obeyed his command to sit on the chair.   Humiliation budded in my heart as I took my seat. Why must I listen to you? Why did I even come here? My life, my relationship status, and my career is in a mess! So what if you can afford to live in a castle? So what if you have good looks?Screw this stupid date, I’m out!   My penned up frustration and humiliation exploded at that very moment. I raised my head and shouted at the three men sitting in front of me, “Stop it! Enough of this! I’m done! You can tell me the truth, or you can send me home!”   “You’ve passed the test.” replied the cold voice, “And your fate is sealed.”   “What test? What are you talking about?” I was confused.   “Your genes are excellent. You’re qualified to give birth to an heir to the Stuart family.”   “???” I was stunned into silence by his words. Is this some sort of reality show? Are they pulling a prank on me? Anger bubbled in me, “Are you saying that you want me to give birth to your children? All three of you? Excuse me! You’ve got to be joking right? It’s not funny!”   “No.” The man stated matter of factly, “You only have to choose one of us.”   “I’m not choosing anyone! Are you done? I want to leave!” I stood up and turned around to leave. My patience for their nonsense was exhausted.   Just then, a tall figure appeared in front of me, and I found a piercing gaze staring down at me. Danger was emanating from the blonde man as his arm snaked around my waist.   “Ahh! What are you doing?” I yelped in surprise.   His golden eyes narrowed as he whispered into my ears, “You’re going nowhere. Remember, pick me as your choice if you don’t wish to die. Become mine. Swear your loyalty only to me, and you get to live. My name is McKenzie Stuart. Do well to remember it.”   With that, McKenzie pushed open the door to the room and left.   “You can call me James, babe. And I promise you… Freedom.” The man with short silvery hair stood up to leave as well. “Of course, you’ll have to give birth to my child first, haha.” he said with a smirk.   “Owen, I’ll leave the task of educating the girl to you.” James cast a sideway glance at the man still on the couch before leaving the room, whistling as he went.   Those two are nuts!   This was my first impression of McKenzie and James.   But that guy named Owen… He seems to be quite… Normal?
