Chapter 17: Who Did This?

Azrael sighed and patted Elvis' maid's shoulders which made the maid unconscious. Jayden then carried her and put her in the spear room.

"I am going to guard her and Elvis here", Bliant said.

I then felt something around me or something near me. It was like a strong aura that was trying to attract me. I felt hatred and anger more than anything. It is so stressful that it is suffocating me.

"Ainsley, what is happening with you?", they all asked me when they see me trying hard to cope up my breathing.

"I-I think you s-should hide Elvis", I said while running out of breath.

I can see the confusion in their faces when I said that except for Azrael. He may already know what I am talking about, after all, he is the angel of death.

I tried to relax myself but the feeling gets more stronger and stronger. That evil spirit may be a very hatred person. I think he have a great amount of anger and all he was thinking about is to get revenge for something.

Later on, all lights went out. I look at Azrael who is now giving some protection to all of us, including Elvis and the maid.

"He is now here", I said.

Still, they didn't know what I am talking about, they still look like they have no clue of whom I was pertaining to.

But when a loud screech was heard on the whole room, they all figure out what is truly going on.

"Elinora, this is not your husband, right?", Madison asked Elinora while hugging her arm.

"I-I think so", Elinora answered stuttering.

A loud thug came from above but there's no one there. It was like someone did that on purpose or it was made by an invisible person.

"Where is Azrael?", Mason asked.

We all looked around the house but we just could not see him anywhere. Did he just disappeared?

We heard another loud screech but now it is coming from the outside of the house. We all went outside to see what was going on and we saw Azrael and the evil spirit fighting with each other.

"D-Daniel", Elinora murmured while looking at the spirit who is fighting Azrael.

Is that her husband? By the looks of their fight, there is a hundred percent chance that Azrael would won the battle.

The spirit could not even wound Azrael meanwhile, Azrael already half nearly made the spirit turn into ashes if the spirit just didn't escaped his arms.

Another evil spirit appeared in front of us and this guy have the same appearance as Elinora's husband.

We all stepped back but the spirit still coming into us, specifically, to me.

I went back to the house as fast as I can with the other girls while Mason and Jayden is distracting the other spirit.

A spirit again appeared beside Azrael that made Azrael now fighting with two spirits.

"Why there are so many spirits here?", I asked them but just like me, they also didn't know anything.

They all get some weapon to protect themselves and so am I. I went to the kitchen to get some tools and luckily, I saw knives and other stuff but this kind of weapon may not hurt them. What should I do?

"Ainsley."

As I heard my name being whispered beside my ears, I was startled.

The spirit tried to touch me but he was taken aback. That gave me a chance to run to the living room with the things I got.

But the living room is also filled with spirits. And Elinora and Madison is fighting for their lives.

I then remembered Elvis, Bliant and the maid who is in the spear room.

I run towards it while trying to avoid the spirits that wants to kill me.

As I opened the door, I can see them hugging each other to protect theirselves while trying to stay away from an evil spirit that was trying to hunt them and luckily, it couldn't pass the barrier that Azrael made.

They all look at me as I grab their attention, including the evil spirit and I saw a grin in its face.

I stepped back again but I felt another two spirits on my back.

They were about to kill me when someone appeared beside me. All spirits gradually disappeared in an instant. I turned to the man beside me who is now smiling and being confident of what he had done. Well, he just scared all the spirits away.

"Lucifer? What are you doing here?", I asked him confusingly.

"Obviously, I am trying to save you. Should I get a little thank you?", he said.

"L-lucifer?", I heard Bliant said in shock.

Oh my god. This must be the first time they saw him. I thought they already saw Lucifer before since they are longer in this field than I am but I am mistaken.

"Oh yes dear one, I am Lucifer. Do you want some autograph?", he asked Bliant and sign on a paper he got from the table near him.

Azrael then appeared in front of me and pull me beside him. "Are those spirits were sent by you?", he asked.

Lucifer chuckled softly. "Of course not. You know I wouldn't try to kill you all. I need Ainsley to be on my side willingly", the King of Hell answered.

Azrael then was succumbed by his thoughts. "If it is not you, then who did this? You are the only one who have the ability to control those spirits."

"I am certain I am not the only one. There is also Samael", Lucifer answered.

"No, it can't be Samael, that guy was already vanished ages ago", Azrael said.

"But maybe he undergoes reincarnation?", Jayden asked that made the two fallen angel more confused.

"You have a point there, kiddo", Lucifer told him.

I then went to the sala as I was so stiffened by their appearances. They are all powerful creatures who was trying to think of a way to make me trust them. But for now, they knew that someone behind this mess was way more capable.

They are thinking of the person who may be the reason of this but still, they can't think of anyone other than Samael and Lucifer itself.

I know Lucifer wouldn't kill me because he really want me to be his ally. And the truth is, I can see that he is not that evil at all.

He have so many chances to threaten me with something or someone or purposely kill me but he didn't do it. It is like he wants me to do something for him but before that, he wants me to fully trust him.

Meanwhile, I once learned in some books that Samael is also a fallen archangel just like Lucifer. He is the prince of demons and was known as the venom of god. He was also became the consort of Lilith, the first woman. He was sent to Earth and become a fallen angel when God knew this and when Lilith began to bear demon children.

But as Jayden said, Mason was already been vanished and become an ashes, just like Lilith since they depict the center and origin of demons.

"You are emerged in your own thoughts again", Masons said and sat beside me.

I then chuckled and shook my head. "I was just thinking of the possibilities of those people who might do this", I said.

"Ah, about Samael? He being reincarnated?", he asked me that made me nodded.

"Yes, I'm thinking about that. But Azrael already told me that when a spirit or demon went into the hell fire, it will never be reincarnated again", I answered.

"But he was an archangel. As far as I know, archangels can not be killed by the hell fire. It may pause its reincarnation for few millenium but it doesn't mean it can't reincarnate again", he then told me.

I looked at him confused. "Why did you know such things? Don't tell me you are also a fallen angel?", I asked him.

Mason chuckled. "Of course not. Me and Madison is the longest person in the team and we already knows some of this stuff because of Azrael", he explained.

I just nodded at him. He have some point there. If what Mason said was true, then, Samael may be the one who actually did this. He have a high possibility than Lucifer for me to do such kind of things.

"Pack your things, we are going somewhere", Azrael asked us after he left the room.

"Wait, where are we going?", Madison asked. We all look at Azrael and wait for his answer but we are all shock by what he said.

"To the island of death."
