Chapter 11: Archangel

"Sibylla?"
I look at her confusingly. "My name is Ainsley", I said.
She realized it immediately and smiled at me. "Right, you are Ainsley."
She straightened up and fix herself before speaking again. “What are you doing here?”, she asked me.
Can't she read my mind? She is a fallen angel right? Or Azrael only have that ability himself?
"Oh, you must be thinking of why I didn't read your mind, right?", she asked again.
I was surprised. Wait, did she just read my mind? How did she know?
"It is written on your face", she said while chuckling. "I don't read the minds of humans. I still respect their privacies and somehow, some humans have such greenie minds which I can not endure."
I agreed with her. I already like her eventhough it was the first time we talk longer. For the first time, I encountered an angel who doesn't read the minds of others to respect their privacy.
"So, let's go back to my question. What are you doing here?", she asked again.
That is when I remembered about the case.
"Did you have a child?", I asked her straight forwardly.
She nodded sadly. "I already know you will kill her tonight that's why I am crying my ass out here", she replied.
She made me sit on the couch beside her and explained to me what happened.
"I met her dad when I was trapped in hell a few million years back. I was with Azrael, Purah, Gusion and many more fallen angels. It was the time where God punishes those sinned angels and become what they are called now, the fallen angels. "
Sinned? What was their sin?
"In my case, I become sinned because I fall in love at a demon which is greatly a sin in our law. Demons are born evil and they spread evil and cruelty in the world. But I don't know what to do anymore, I already fall for him. What can I do, right? That was my heart was saying."
"When we become prisoners at hell, I become pregnant with a girl. It was Lira, my first child. I know she is in between good and evil because of her genes but when things started to change as she grows older, she developed a hatred on humans."
I just kept listening to her story. I can say that what they went through was bad. In fact, life was harder for them. She was sinned because of love? Maybe that's the dumbest reason I have ever heard. That law was the stupidest law ever made.
"She hates humans because of how God favored them while fallen angels, demons and her as a half blood was being thrown away by society and was never accepted. Even I was also angry with them but I could do nothing."
Favoritism. The very point of all the chaos in this world.
"Before, she still tried to control her temper and even had a human friend but a few weeks ago, her human friend was r***d by the fishermen and was killed. After that, her hatred grows more and soon after, she decided to kill."
I was stunned. She is only killing the murderers of her friend. In fact that is justice but on a wrong way.
I immediately stood up but she stopped me. "Where are you going?", she asked me.
"To Azrael! I should stop him from what he will do!", I replied to Vepar. She smiled bitterly at me but she still kept me from leaving.
"No need."
I turned to where the voice came from. There I saw Azrael with a beautiful girl. He was also behind the rest of our comrades who are now in total shocked and could not believe what they are seeing.
"I heard what you are talking about on Ainsley's mind. So I just talked to your daughter and convinced her to stop the killings", Azrael said.
What? He heard my thoughts with such a distance?
I also saw that Vepar was surprised because of what Azrael said earlier but her joy become even greater when she saw her daughter and immediately hugged her.
I approached Azrael who is still in deep thoughts. "What did you say? Did you heard what was on my mind? From that far?", I asked in disbelief.
He just shrugged his shoulders and left. I immediately chased him but this man's footsteps were really big. "Hey! I'm talking to you!"
He ignored me so I just at frowned. I turned to Vepar and thanked him before following Azrael.
I heard Jayden sigh. "If you can't go through the hard way, just go through the easiest way", he said whom I noticed being lost in his normal self.
I turned to him but he seemed to be deep in thought. So did Mason.
I approached Elinora. “What happened to those two?”, I asked them.
Madison chuckled. "After you left, there was a major fight. But, it wasn't Azrael who was the opponent of that mermaid, it was Jayden and Mason ", she replied to me.
"What?" I turned again to the two men and noticed their torn clothes.
"Don't worry. They only got bruises and some minor cuts. And Bliant healed them right after so there's no problem. They were both only traumatized", Elinora said suppressing her laughter.
As we entered our meeting place, a dazzling light greeted us but it soon disappeared.
I looked around but I could only see them all not moving as if they were statues.
Azrael, on the other hand, is talking to the man. I stayed in my place and observed the new face Azrael was talking to that I had just newly seen.
He had this supremacy vibe with him and the more attention - grabbing are his wings. It was the most beautiful white wings I have ever seen. His face too, he is so damn handsome. Maybe he is almost as handsome as Lucifer but no doubt, Lucifer is more handsome than him. The King of Hell with a gangster s***h mafia s***h bad boy vibes.
Azrael looked in my direction to my surprise. "Why?", I asked.
The man's eyes widened as he looked at me. Azrael was also surprised but later he came to his senses.
"Why does my ability won't work with you?" The man asked me which confused my mind.
"Huh? Ability?", I asked him.
"Just let it go. You may be had an error or glitch. Where do you want to talk?", Azrael turned to the man.
He is still confused but managed to answer Azrael's question. "In heaven", he replied and they disappeared at once.
I saw Jayden and the others walk into the house as if nothing had happened.
Did they see what I saw before?
"Where is Azrael?", Elinora asked us all while getting some ingredients out of the fridge.
"Maybe he left or someone died again", Bliant replied and opened the television.
I just confusingly looked at them all. Didn't they really see anything before? What the hell is happening here?
"Hey Ainsley, what are you thinking?", Jayden asked me and sat beside me.
I just shooked my head and didn't answered him. "I need to go out for a bit", I told him and walk outside the house.
Who is the man that I just saw? He looked like one of those archangels characters that I saw on some movies.
Wait, i-is he? Oh my god?!
Is he really an archangel? Which archangel?
"Excuse me, miss?"
I looked back at the voice who just called me earlier and I saw a woman in her maybe, late forties, I assume.
"Yes? Can I help you?", I asked her.
She smiled at me and handed me a picture. I looked at it and I was stunned when I saw it is actually Azrael.
"I am looking for a man named, Azrael. Is he here?"
