Mysterious encounter’s

Mavis pov: 

After a few hours of listening to Aaron blabbing about himself and how lucky I was to be his fiancé and how beautiful I was going to be at our mating ceremony as his Luna, the city finally came into view. doesn’t matter how many times we visit I always feel chilled to the bone, my dad always is tense when he brings me here but whenever I ask he shrugs and says “we are on another packs territory so it’s best to keep our guard up.” But I always feel like there is something he’s not telling me some unknown reason that he hates taking me here that he just hasn’t told me and this trip feels different like I’m going to find out things that I never wanted to know, The inevitably are going to change the way I see everything.  My father clears his throat, “all right before we head to the packhouse we’re going to quickly grab some food because from what I remember from this pack their cooks are horrible, and their food tastes like garbage. so do we want, pizza, McDonald’s, or what are we all craving?” Alpha alpha embers chuckled in agreement there food was terrible. Aaron spoke up first “ why don’t we go somewhere a little less low class I heard there’s a lovely bistro down the road?”  I could hear my father‘s hands tighten on the steering wheel, “ boy, there is no such thing as a low class the only thing that is low class is your mindset when you start to look down on things because they don’t show as much refinement as you want for as much as your status demands, it is you that starts to be low class.” I couldn’t help but snicker that scolding and my father shot me a look that made me stop. 

I spoke up remembering a little Chinese place in Pike Street market, basically a little hole in the wall on the second floor next to the bathrooms. when we would come here when we were little we would get the pork buns and they were amazing, I drooled just thinking about them. “ Dad why don’t we go to that one Chinese place in Pike Street market like we used to, you know the ones with the steamed pork buns?!” I saw his whole body tense and then alpha embers spoke, “ I do love myself a good pork bun that sounds like a lovely idea!”  My father immediately looked at alpha embers and said, “It's a very exposed area we could be attacked for not careful, maybe we should find some more a little bit more private.” Alpha embers looked at him sideways, “we have three cars following us with six wolves in each car, I think we have more than enough security to get a couple steamed pork buns.” He chuckled. My father sighed defeated, “All right but let’s make this quick then, I don’t wanna stay out in this area too long and we do need to get to the packhouse quickly for the meeting.” I was so giddy I could barely contain it, Aaron just shrugged saying, “ why are you so happy about some little hole in the wall Chinese place that’s probably going to get us sick?” I glared back at him “ oh that little hole in the wall how do you refer to is where my grandmother would take me every summer while I was visiting here in her pack before she died, so forgive me if I like the food and the memories.” I snapped.  That shut him up real quick. 

Soon we arrived at Pike Street we had parked down a couple of blocks just because of the insane traffic there all the time and all the humans of all different types, he’s got one selling wears, one selling teas, then selling flowers, one selling pottery. As we walk down the street we could occasionally see one of our guards scouting the area making sure we were OK, as we walked into Pike Street security came a little tighter but not very obvious all of our security guards were white T-shirts and jeans but they all had our tribes mark on their biceps so we could always tell who they were and where they were. As we walked the fish flew past my face and almost hit me making me duck instinctively, and then looking up laughing realizing I just walked into a fish throwing demonstration. “Careful their missy next time you might get hit with an octopus and those are hard to get off. ” The crowd and I laughed and I apologize for not paying attention and they waved it off saying it was fine. My father stocked up to me “Are you OK? Did they hurt you!?” I sighed “Dad I’m fine, it was just flying fish not a silver bullet.” I chuckled and we pressed on, as we continue down we Made our way down the steps to the second floor when the smell hit me of those amazing sticky steamed pork buns! I squeaked in pure excitement, knowing that that amazing food was almost mine! I took a few steps forward when I stopped in my tracks, something was wrong. My dad went to go past me when I grabbed his arm he looked at me perplexed and questioning, “what’s wrong honey you ok?” I tried to put into words what I was feeling but was failing miserably. Finally, I said, “ Dad has some guards check this floor first something doesn’t feel quite right.” That all it took for my dad to snap, he yelled out, “JAMES, PRESTON, BEN, ERIC GET OVER HERE NOW!!” Alpha Amber quickly came to us and asked, “ what’s going on is everything OK!?” My father answered quickly, “ somethings off, mavis never gets nervous,  that’s means something about this place right now is putting her off and her Wolf the sensing it, warning us, I’m having my men do a sweep of the second Corredor floor to make sure that nobody’s here that would try to do us harm.” Alpha Amber nodded his head “That’s a wise course of action I’ll send a couple of my men with them as well that’ll leave us eight or nine in case something happens.”

After about 15 minutes the men came back, “ Alphas, I’ve come back to report our findings.” My father nodded, “Oh we sensed about four or five werewolves however most of them we’re just with their family’s, however, there was one werewolf who we couldn’t find and he seems to be alone and seems that somebody may have been watching us.” My father's lips formed a very thin straight line in the hard plains of his face became dark, “ Security needs to be tightened and we need to watch our every move until we get over to the packhouse.”  As my father was talking with the other Alpha and the warriors I was able to walk over and order 50 steamed pork buns for everyone, I while I waited for the order to be completed I was only about 30 to 40 feet away, when I felt it again this overwhelming feeling of something not being right and someone watching me.  I casually looked around as there were many little shops I looked casually at each one seeing if I could find someone watching me, after a minute or two I looked towards a set of stairs that lead to the third level and there was a man there looking right at me with a camera taking pictures of me. I froze eyes glued to him, he noticed my staring and smirked at me, and mouthing the words “see you soon”  right as it happened I yelled and pointed him straight out them four guards took off after him down the third-floor steps. My father immediately grabbed me and put me behind him with other guards surrounding us. “ WHAT happened?!” My father  looked at me intensely, after a moment I was able to think and process what just happened, “ I felt that feeling again that I was being watched, so I kept calm and looked around to see if I could find anybody while you were all talking there was a man by those stairs there,” I pointed, “ he had a camera and was taking pictures of me I think for us I don’t know, He caught me looking at him and said “see you later” then I yelled and then took off.” My father paled, “  we’re leaving now we’re going straight to the packhouse in mediately,” he shouted right as he said that the little lady that on the Chinese restaurant had the food ready, I ran to her and grabbed it and said a quick thank you and then the guards surrounded me and walked us back to the car quickly.  

Once in the car, Aaron smoke up, “ Who in the hell was that looking at my woman, I swear if I get my hands on them Up piece by piece!!” My father nodded in agreement as to the alpha Amber. “ how were you able to tell that somebody was watching you though?” Aarons question surprised me as generally he’s not this inquisitive, “ To be honest I don’t know I just had this feeling wash over me that something was wrong like my wolf was Telling me we need to be careful that something bad might happen.” Aaron went on to ask more questions but my father silenced him, My fathers' eyes were glazed over as he was mind-linking With the four guards who took off after the man, his face became hard and he gritted his teeth, my father turned and spoke, it looks like he got away but not before he got Eric, it looks like he’s going to make it but he’s heavily injured looks like they had silver bullets with a hollow point tip with wolfsbane in it.” I gasped, but silver bullets and wolfsbane are illegal substances even in the human world it’s insanely hard to make or even come across the necessary materials to make them?!” He nodded “ you’re correct, that’s why we now have to be extra careful because we’re dealing with somebody very powerful and very well-connected. the guards have already made their way to the packhouse at this time and Eric‘s getting treatment we’re going to leave immediately no stops until we get there Will be in about 30 minutes so buckle up it’s going to be a fast drive.”

After what seemed like only a couple of minutes we arrived at the Packhouse, or a very nauseous Aaron exited the car and was on the ground on all fours like he was going to update the contents of his stomach, I giggled and snickered at this because I’m used to my fathers erratic driving. Aaron‘s father holds him up straight, “get yourself together boy you’re a be the next alpha what are you doing down on all fours like that if you were going to throw up you do it standing up like a man.”  Aaron nodded, in that moment I almost felt bad for Aaron thinking that may be the reason he acts so arrogant is that that’s what his father has taught him.  My phone came to my side of the car and took my hand and help me out, then we all proceeded to make our way to the front of the house for Alpha Davidson was waiting for us, “ welcome Alphas and family, I’m glad you could make it. I hope you didn’t have any trouble on your way here.”  To which my father replied, “ unfortunately I can’t lie and say we didn’t, someone was watching us travel and got way too close to my daughter for my comfort level.”  Alpha Davidson growled loudly, “Tell me where and I will send mine meant to find them no one and I mean no one will harm my guests on my land!!” If it wasn’t for the fact that I was an alpha’s daughter, I probably would’ve Peed my pants at that moment. At that moment Luna Davidson came out and put her arms on alpha Hendricks and rubbed his arm to calm him, then she spoke, “let us come inside and talk about this more we can start the meeting off of what’s happened here and then Add that with what we know has happened as it may be connected but in the meantime please make yourselves at home for here you are safe.” She spoke with so much grace and poise it made me almost want to swoon if I have to be a luna one day I wish I could command presence with Grace like she just did. Do I have a woman crush, perhaps?  

We walked up the steps and into the house and settled into our rooms, The room I was staying in was gorgeous, it has beautiful gray-brown hardwood flooring cream rustic furniture in an absolutely beautiful wrought iron bed with Sherpa blankets that had an astoundingly beautiful blue pattern, I was an all that’s the beauty of the room itself as I went further and I also looked to the bathroom which had a huge deep soaker tub and when I say huge I mean I could fit four people in it, I am mentally pumped my arms and excitement as I love taking baths. I unpacked all of my clothes and set up whatever little makeup I had graft previously in the bathroom along with hair care products.  And then decided to take a quick bath before getting dressed and going to the meeting that was starting in about an hour. After the bath I toweled off, And went to my clothes, and hold out a bra and panty set I found out the fact that all my mother packed me was lacy sexy sets as she was always under the illusion it’s better to be ready to meet your mate and make a good impression, I slipped on a pair of black and red lacy underwear with the matching bra, then I went to the bathroom and started to blow dry my hair, once my hair was dry I took a couple of minutes to put some curls in my hair and just let it I’m down for the day, after that, I just put a little bit of makeup on that I had available which was some foundations some mascara and a pop of bright red lipstick because I need a little color in my life. After that, I went to the closet and pulled out a black body con dress with sleeves, as I slept the dress on it made its way to just above my knees and didn’t go too far down into my cleavage that shows just enough to be modest. I then picked a pair of black high heels to go with it and finish off the look. once I was done I gave myself one more look over to make sure I looked good and after I was satisfied I left my room and walked down the stairs to the meeting hall, The house was stunning with beautiful marble floors high ceilings white walls honestly I don’t know how they were able to keep it also clean if we had this at our park house it would be a wreck within the first 20 minutes, as I approached the meeting hall doors I smelled the most incredible thing in the world, it smells like the ocean, cedar trees, and peppermint, I put my hands on the door and opened it and was flooded with the most intoxicating smell I looked around the room at all the different people when my eyes landed on a set of eyes that were an electric yellow and blue, and that’s when I heard a deep sultry voice growl the word, “mine.”
