Getting ready for the date.

Mavis Pov:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I roll to my side annoyed frustrated and see the numbers on my clock telling me it’s time to get up at this goddess-awful hour. I sigh deeply knowing I have to get up, one because I have little time to get the suit and get ready and be back and second Sam will dose me with ice water, she’s done it before.  I sit up I’m bed and stretch my muscles, slowly standing up making my way to the bathroom, I quickly jump in the shower scrubbing my hair and shaving myself, because swimming enough said. I go to get out of the shower when Sam shouts scaring the hell out of me, “ Hey, use some of this stuff it’s awesome and makes your skin feel amazing!! Be out in 10 and down in 20, don’t worry about hair and makeup right now!” I peek out of the shower and small basket with different body scrubs are waiting, they all looked super girly which isn’t my style normally but today I wanted to see what it would be like. I grabbed the body scrub first scrubbing my skin and feeling my skin getting softer then I worked on my face scrubbing it. Then came the scented lotions, working them into my skin before long I was running and sliding out of the bathroom as I spent to much time in there Sam left out a pair of black skinny jeans and a tan tank top with a grey cardigan and a pair of ankle booties. which I surprisingly liked, I quickly put on the ensemble I made my way downstairs just finger combing my hair into a ponytail down the stairs. “Took you long enough.” Sam said impatiently, “ Come on we got to go right now.” She linked her arm in with mine and pulled me out the door into the SUV and off we went. 

It took us roughly an hour to get into Seattle, but as always it was beautiful all the amazing architecture and new buildings always popping up mixing with the old beautiful brick building, such a dazzling mixture of new and old.  before I knew it we had made it to our destination, and when I stepped out of the vehicle I couldn’t believe where we were, we were at the Bravern shops in Bellevue Washington just outside of Seattle, this is where the best of the best go and blow a ridiculous amount of money. “Sam what the hell are we doing here!?” She smiled at me and pulled out a card, “ I told you your mom sent me here to make you into a proper lady and Now that you have a mate  I’m going to make sure you’re dressed properly at her expense.” I stood shocked and impressed. “look you can get all dopey and shellshocked later but right now we need to go to that shop and get that suit!”  she grabbed my hand and we took off leaving our driver to deal with the valet which may I add is $700! We walked past some of the most sought after name brands like jimmy Choo, Neiman Marcus, Gucci, Prada and then we reached our destination at David Lawrence. We walked in and there were immediate eyes on us from security to staff looking us up head to toe. I felt uncomfortable and then I remembered I am an alpha daughter and I am a Luna born, if anyone had the right to be there it was me. I had my head held high, and walk straight up to the counter. “ Can I help you girls?” asked the woman behind the counter, “ we’re not giving out free samples of anything today if that’s your question.” She smirked at us giving the up down treatment. “Yes, as a matter fact you can help us my name is Mavis Raven, Daughter of Selena Delcour Raven, I’m sure you’ve heard of her she shops here frequently. I’m here to pick up a bathing suit that I ordered online and perhaps browse around for additional items if I decide to get anything else, we’re also in a bit of a rush so if you could hurry up and grab that would be great.” She was shocked at my mothers name, which I knew she would be. My family was very wealthy, I just never got into the name brands since I like converses and skinny jeans, and I never wanted to seem uppity or rude but today she brought it out in me.  She Took a moment to pick her jaw up off the ground and compose herself, she then plastered her smirk right back on her face, “ I don’t ever recall her having a daughter I’ll have to call her and confirm your identity as we can’t just have anyone coming in and buying anything.” It was my turn to smirk, “ By all means please do, but don’t come running and crying to me when she screams at you for waking her up she’s not a very good morning person.”  her smirk came off her face and a scowl replaced it, she looked to the security guard, “ make sure they don’t runoff somewhere more I confirm this can’t have the riffraff causing trouble for our loyal customers.” 

She walked back towards the back counter and picked up a Phone instead of the computer for a couple moments and then dialed and called. Me and Sam were both giggling knowing what was about to happen. After a couple moments the woman speaking on the phone from what we could tell explaining the situation and then the woman seem to of been put on hold, not more than a couple moments later my phone was ringing. I looked at the phone and mom was calling, “ good morning Mom.”  She huffed into The phone, “ where are you right now?”  I smiled, “ well currently Mom I am at David Lawrence in Bellevue picking up a couple of things.” There was a long stretch of silence, “ my god what happened to you where is my daughter that hates going shopping?!”  I laughed out loud, “ i’m only in here because I need a bathing suit you packed so many stupid dresses you didn’t pack me one of those, and plus anyway I need it I happen to be going on a date with my mate.” And as I said the words my mate, it was all over but the shrieking. “ oh my Goddess my prayers have been answered question! Who is it?! What does he look like?! What pack is he from is he the Alpha?!”  I laughed, “ Mom I don’t have time to explain right now I have to be ready by 11 and it’s already 8 o’clock, And I am being held up by this extremely rude sales representative which is keeping me from looking my best for my date,  do you think you can help me and sam out here?” I heard a ominous growls, “ What did she say?” I involuntarily shivered at her cold dead words. “ well she questioned whether or not I was really your daughter made it sound like we were just trying to freeload and get free stuff and then told security to watch Us because she didn’t want us riffraff causing trouble.” I heard another in human growl come through the line, “ don’t you worry baby girl I’ll handle this give me a couple of minutes and tell Sam to make you look your absolute best for that date!” before I could even say thanks she was off the line.  Sam start at me, “ shits about to go down isn’t it?” I nodded my head towards the sales representative, “Get ready to watch the show it’ll be a doozy.”  we both giggled and watch the representative. Who had just got back on the phone with my mother, we watched as she slowly paled and seemed to be heavily backpedaling saying there was some kind of misunderstanding next thing we know the store manager is taking the phone from her and saying some thing undiscernible, if I wanted I could hear the entire conversation but sometimes it’s just fun to imagine what they’re saying. after the manager hung up the phone he took the woman's badge and told her to get out, and that she was fired, security was then called over to which they escorted her off the premises.  The manager walked over to us, “ ladies I cannot apologize enough for the absolute appalling treatment that you were given. I have your purchase ready at the front, and your mother also told me that you have a very special occasion this afternoon and told us to give you the full VIP treatment, if you both would please follow me will go ahead and go to hair and make up and then find you some suitable outfits for the occasion.” Sam and I both looked at each other and nodded. “ thank you very much I appreciate that please lead the way.”

After a whirlwind of about an hour me and Sam had our hair done and our make up done absolutely flawlessly. After explaining to the stylist crew that there was going to be swimming involved at some point in the day they decided to do a very natural look with some waterproof make up that complemented my features, and to just put some waves in my hair so that when it got wet I could just toss it up in a bun after. after we were done we went back to the front of the store to purchase the bathing suit. as we were about to pay for the suit the manager came back, “ oh there’s no need for that ladies, all of today is a gift for you both for what happened this morning.” I tilted my head a bit “oh it’s quite all right I don’t mind paying for it.”  he put up his hands, “ no no, I insist.” since I knew it was no point in arguing, “ Well then thank you very much for today it was positively enchanting.” we left the store and quickly made our way back to the driver and got in. ”Back to the pack house quickly please.”  The driver nodded. “ Of course Ladies, though just to let you know Alpha Raven was looking for you and called me, I let him know that I had taken you here he seemed a bit upset that you didn’t have any security with us, you may want to call him.” i must have hone a bit pale as the driver asked if I was ok, I nodded and the csrmoved forward.  “Shit..” I muttered to myself. Sam chirped in, “ It's gonna be fine mavy just call him and tell him we had to pick you up some girl stuff and you were to embarrassed to have a pack member get it for you.” 

My head perked up at that, “ you know Sam sometimes you’re a damn genius!” I pulled out my phone taking a deep breath And dialed my dads number, one ring and the line was picked up, “MAVIS OLIVIA RAVEN, WHERE ARE YOU?!?” I pulled the phone from my head has his voice was so loud, “Dad I’m fine. I’m with Sam and with Darrell, I went to go get a couple of things.” he growled, “One person is not enough secure Mavis and what was so damn important that you had to go get anyway that someone at thepick house couldn’t get it for you!?!” I sighed, “I understand Dad next time I’ll take more security and I had to get some things for you know, feminine stuff.”  The line was very silent, “ understood just get back here as soon as possible then.” He said awkwardly before hanging up.  me and Sam busted out laughing, “ oh my goddess it actually worked!!” Sam breathed out between laughs. “Of course it worked we akwarded him out.” The rest of the drive back was relatively quick. What we got back to the park house I went upstairs and packed a small backpack with some snacks, drinking water, a towel and then I went to get the bathing suit and saw some thing else along with it with a note on it. 

The note read: Have a good time sweetie!! ;) with a wink face. I unwrapped the additional item and saw that it was a piece of red and black lingerie. I dropped it on the ground horrified. A knock on the door quickly made me grab it and shove it back in the bag. “ Who is it?” I asked “It’s me Sam! hurry up you’ve got like 10 minutes before 11!” I checked my phone and sure enough it was 10:50, “ OK I’m coming right now!” I quickly grabbed the contents of the bag and shoved them into the backpack, and made my way downstairs to the sitting room, when I entered I smelled him immediately, Atlas was already waiting for me.
