rejection

“hey,Sofia” i heard him saying. i was scared, tears started collecting in my eyes and one of the mashines i was connected to showed my heard rate getting faster. my head felt like it was spinning and i was on fire.i heard Rose saying something to Jack so he would leave but he just pushed her away and ran to me. i thought he was going to hit me so i covered my head with my arms. tears were streaming down my face. after i few seconds i didnt feel any kind of pain, i looked at him with fear. he pulled me into his arms and hugged me. i stiffened but the mate bond won, his smell, his touch made me calm down. i dont remember much after, i feel asleep in his arms after my heart rate went back to normal.

the next morning i woke up to find Rose sitting next to my bed and writting something in her note book. she looked up and smiled to me. i returned the smile. “how are u sweetie? feeling better?” i nodded. “are u hungry? i have some pancakes ready for you.” she asked again and i nodded happy. “you know Alpha Jack didnt want to leave your side. He was waiting until you feel asleep and i had to push him out telling him that you need to rest well in the bed not in his arms” she said laughing. i smiled slightly. so he did care... “well you will be able to leave today, i talked with the Alpha and he promised me to find you someone to keep you company and you will be staying in a comfortable room. You still need to heal a lot since you have huge wounds on your head,neck, wrists and ankles, also bruises on your sides and legs, 2broken ribs. i also told him to feed you well, you have lost a lot of weight. until you heal fully you will need to visit me from time to time” she said and left the room.

After a little while she came back with Jack. i felt happy but also scared. he wont do anything to me while Rose is with me, but when she leaves us alone...

Rose helped me get up and guided me to the bathroom to change into some other clothes. i walked in and took off the hospital gown. put on some loose black shorts and a black, a little oversized shirt, my old black flats and walked out. Rose walked me and Jack out of the hospital and went back to look after other patients. i was left alone with him. He looked down on me, took my wrist harshly and dragged me to the pack house. i whinned as my wrist still hurt from silver. “shut up will you? i dont have time for this. how are you even this weak?” he asked angrily. “i-i havent s-shifted yet, m-my wolf is really w-weak” i said silently with my cracky voice, surprised to hear it. he looked a little surprised and muttered something as “not my problem” and continued dragging me.

After we reached the pack house he took me to a big fancy room with a king sized bed and a window with an amazing view of the forest. “this will be your room for now, i dont care if you are hurt and weak, you will still work as a maid. you have to start cleaning at 7am and work until 1pm every day. after that you can rest. you will work full day after u are healed completely” he says and leaves. i sign. of course.

i explore the room and find a walk in closet and my own bathroom. wow i have never had a room this fancy. i lay on the bed and look out the window enjoying the view. Someone knocks on the door. “come in” i say. the door opens and i see Ben. he is holding a tray with food. “hey princess” he smirks. i cant help but blush and giggle. now when i see him clearly he is around 6’5 and really fit. he sits next to me and hands me the food “you have to eat, you look extremely weak” i take the food which is waffles with syrum and hot chocolate. i insist to share with Ben. we talk for what seems like hours and i feel happy to have him as my friend. at some point i must have fallen asleep because when i woke up to the alarm clock i was tucked under the sheets.

i changed into my maid clothes and went to the kitchen. there i found a note

you must clean the alphas room and that is it for today.

when i was with the guard he showed me the rooms of some people which i might need to clean so i already knew where Jacks room is. i go up the stairs and am about to knock on his door when i hear “o-oh Jack! harder!” then i hear a male groaning and the same female voice that moaned his name before, giggling. from the smell i know its Jack...and Olivia. i drop my broom on the ground and it makes a pretty loud thud. i am sure they heard it. i back up against a wall and cover my face with my hands as i start crying and shaking. HES f*****g ANOTHER GIRL! i hear Ava howl in anger and pain. im happy to finally hear her but it hurts. soon his door opens and Jack walks out with only shorts on, right after him Olivia with his shirt. i can sence them but i ignore them and try to walk away but he grabs my arm. “ARE YOU SPYING ON US?!” he screams in my face. “i-i was t-told to clean y-your r-room Alpha” i somehow stutter out. then Olivia speaks up “oh you are still alive? Jack, baby, why is sh still here?” he doesnt answer just pushes me and looks at me like hes going to kill me. Olivia speaks again “oh girl why are u even trying? we completed 2 out of 3 mating steps, he needs to mark me and ill be his forever and ill be the luna of this pack. you will pay for your acting.” my head starts spinning. there are 3mating steps which are a kiss, marking and mating. “buttercup go wait for me in the room i will deal with her and be right back” Alpha Jack says and turns to me again as she walks back into his room. he grabs me by my neck and drags me to the cells. pushes me on the dirty floor in the cell and walks in it towering over me. “I, Alpha Jack of the diamond pack, reject you, Sofia, as my mate” he says in one breath. i feel like my heart is being ripped out. my soul seperated from my body. my mate just rejected me! “OUR mate just rejected us” i hear Ava cry out and shut down in the back of my mind. i look at him hoping to see anything in his emotionless eyes. he walks out and shuts the cell doors. i lay there shaking, wishing this was a dream and it would end sooner. the only person that could have loved and saved us...didnt want us.

i wake up. for a second i think that was a dream, but realize its not. my eyes are swollen from crying all night. the guard that woke me up the first morning comes and leads me out of the cell to the kitchen. on the way there he snakes his arm around my waist and whispers in my ear “i heard the alpha rejected you, so you were his mate? your such a sweetie i dont get how he couldnt want you.” i feel once again discusted and ignore him. once we are in the kitchen he traps me between him his arms and a wall. he again put his arms around me and is leaning in for a kiss when someone growls loudly and pushes him away. at that point i am crying and shaking. i run into my savers arms and hold onto him and sob into his chest. i look up to see...Ben.
