Bryan's POV I sat there in the chair, staring at the pale walls, letting the silence stretch until it became heavy. My fingers were clasped together, my knuckles pressing white against my skin. The only sound was the faint ticking of the grandfather clock in the corner. Then the door swung open. Two maids stepped in, arms loaded with fabric.
