Marcus spent two hours trying to recover something off that drive and came up with nothing. Whoever wiped it had done it properly, not the kind of amateur delete a teenager could undo with the right software. The intern was let go quietly, no police, no statement, just a severance check and a warning that made his hands shake when Daniel handed it to him.
