Anisha POV, In the morning, there is more joy in the part of me that peeks through the windows of my eyes. In the morning, there is more love awaiting a chance to jump into the air in that silent crackle we sense with our soul. In the morning, there is a deeper sweetness that resonates within and finds a way to express this energy that is in me. I am an early riser. I have never missed the sunrise in my 20 years of life. This is the only thing I love most in nature. It gives peace to my heart and soul. My father always takes me with him on morning walks because he said early sunrise gives us lots of energy for the day. So it's become my habit too. It's still become my habit. Or as I feel lonely after Mom and papa left me in this world all alone. After their death, I feel I am alone in my own house. I don't want to talk with anyone. I don't want to love anyone. I feel like I am surviving only because they want me to live my life. Without our parents' love, we wouldn't feel alive for a second, but I have been living for the last 3 years. They left me 3 years back. A lone tear slipped from my eyes but I don't want to wipe them because I miss them so much. I love them so much. I am there, Princess. The only princess in my family is my parents. They want me to become a doctor. So, to their wish, I am doing my MBBS. I am completing their dream. I love you, Mom, I love you papa. I miss you every day, every hour, every minute. Again tears came to my eyes. "Your tears only give them pain beta." Dada Ji ( grandfather)'s voice took me out of my thoughts. I wiped my tears and wiped him. "Good morning Dadaji ( grandfather) ", I wished him to put a fake smile on my face. "Good morning my child. You don't need to pretend in front of me that you are not crying." He said, a little stern tone. I just ran to him and hugged him tightly. After my mom and dad. I love the only one is him. He is my only family member. I cried harder. "Relax my child...calm down. Stop crying, Anisha. Your parents would be sad if they looked at you crying like that.... so stop crying." He said. I slowly stopped crying. And he went out of his arms and looked down. "Don't look down. I know you are strong" grandfather said again, and I looked at him. "Now answer me," he asked. I looked at him with questioning eyes. " Yes, grandfather, " I said. "Do you love them?? " he asked me. "Yes," I replied. "So why were you crying, remembering them? When you know, they will be upset if they were looking at you like that If" he said, and I looked down. "You remember when you were small and fell from the bed. Your father takes up the whole house on his head and scolds everyone for being careless about you." He said and laughed aloud and I also smiled a little and nodded. "Yes, Anisha... how they are feeling right now if they were seeing you like this." He said and I looked at him. were right. My father doesn't like tears in my eyes. He will be upset because of me. "Sorry grandfather," I said. "No my child.. never cry, remembering them, always smile," he said, wiping my tears with his thumb. "You know Anisha. Your father always said that your smile brings lots of happiness to our house." He said and made me smile when my father always said, Anisha," never this smile fades away from your face and never change yourself from anyone. I smiled and fully remembered him. "Yes like this... OK," the grandfather said and kissed my forehead. "Yes, grandfather," I said and smiled at him. "Now come on, get ready fast. You will be late for your college." He said and I nodded. "Yes, Dada Ji, I will, but quickly I will make breakfast for everyone, " I said and moved towards grandfather, but he stopped in I will soon. I turned with questioning eyes. "You don't need to do anything," the grandfather said while I just smiled. " Grandfather, I don't do any work because of any pressure, or grandfather said to me. It's just I love to cook for my family. And you also loved my handmade food, right?" I replied to him. I know he is weird about me and my studies, but it's OK if I work at home. "Now come on, grandfather, ", I said, and pulled him towards me. He went to his room and moved to my room. After entering my room, I moved to my cupboard and got my clothes, I entered the bathroom and did my morning chores. After taking a bath, I went out of the room and started getting ready. I wore a simple pink kurta and a large blue-blue. I wore my earrings. For jewellery, I like earrings and bracelets. Mom always brings me lots of earrings and bracelets. This pink one is my favourite. After I get ready completely. I moved to the prayer room. I did my prayers every day. I learn everything from mom. If she is here with me, there she would be happier. Because I learn so much after my prayer to Lord Krishna. I turn and my whole family. Chachaji, chachiji, dadaji and Mahi, my little sister. Uncle&Anuty's only daughter. She is very dear to me. Because of her presence, I don't feel lonely sometimes. She is 4 years younger than me. I gave everyone an aarti. Uncle is on a call with someone. Aunty doesn't give any look at me, she simply takes aarti and moves behind Chacha Ji. grandfather came forward, put his hand on my head and moved away after taking Aarti. Then Mahi came. She dramatically took Aarti and put her hand on my head as grandfather did. I fake glared at her. She laughed loudly and I just smiled. After putting a plate on the place. I go to the kitchen for breakfast to start preparations. Chachi Ji came to help me with Mahi behind her. She is nagging her for something. "Maa please.." she said in a pleading tone. "Mahi stops it....your father will not be agree ", uncle replied with a stern tone. "Anisha, if breakfast is ready. Arrange the table." anuty said Moved out of the kitchen. "Anu did please talk to Mom and she is not giving me permission for the school picnic." She said and gave me a cute look. But how can I talk to uncle? She doesn't give me a proper appearance, so how will I talk to her? "Di please...tell me something. It's my last year in school." She said again. Yes, she is right. It's her last year in school because after 12th she will move to college. So I understand her feelings. But how can I talk to anybody? "Diiiii" she shouted again. "What happened to you, Mahi? Why are you shouting?" I asked her. "So what will I do? You are in your dreamland." She mocked me. "It's nothing like that " I replied to her. " Do please talk to mom" she asked again. . " OK, I will try, " I said and moved out with breakfast. Me and Mahi attached the table. Everyone came and sat in their place while grandfather was on the head chair. We belong to an upper-middle-class family now. My uncle has business in Delhi. After dad's died, our business conditions got worse day by day and we had to leave our old house uncle bought this house. But he has not as much power as my father was. anuty doesn't like this place at all because it is small in comparison. That's why we don't have many servants. So Chachi Ji asked me to help her with work. I served everyone. "Anisha beta you also sit and eat your breakfast because you will be late for your college." Grandftaher asked me. I sat beside Mahi. Who again nagged me to talk to Anuty. I just looked at her and again looked at Anuty. She is eating her breakfast silently. But I am not concentrating on my breakfast because how will I talk to Anuty about the mahi trip? She will not be listening to me, but I need to talk to her because of my little sister. She has asked me with so much hope. So I need to at least try for once. My chain of thoughts broken by Grandfather "Anisha, what happened child? Where are you lost? He asked me. "Nothing, Grandfather, " I replied. "Then eat your breakfast," he said, and I just nodded. After completing breakfast, uncle moved to the office. While aunty follows him. Me and Mahi moved to the kitchen and kept dishes for washing. Where is Maya aunty already waiting for The work I just smile at her. "Aunty, you eat breakfast first then do your work later," I said and she just smiled while creasing my hair. I turned around and Mahi was already looking. "Di ...." before she starts I stop her. "I know Mahi...come". We both moved to the living room. I looked around for grandfather but I think he was in his room. While I sighed in relief. Because I don't want him to know any things about me and Chachi Ji. I looked for my aunt and she was talking with someone on the phone. Mahi dragged me with her. I stopped her but... No, Anisha isn't scared. After completing her phone call, she turned to me and raised her eyes. "anuty....." I started but stopped in the middle. "Yes, Anisha," she said, a bit. "Anuty please let Mahi go on her school trip. It's already her last year. After that, she won't get this chance. " I just said in on go. "Mahi, we have already talked about it so..why do you bring your lawyer with you?" She scolded Mahi. " Mom please..." Mahi tried again, but Anuty showed her hand to her and stopped in the middle. "Go to school.. your bus will be here any time," she ordered Mahi. Mahi angrily moved away from her. I also turned to move but stopped in the middle after listening to Anuty hachi's voice. "Anisha...I don't want you to come between me and my daughter. So don't distract her from her studies." She said and her words hurt me very much. Tears came to my eyes but I stopped. I don't know why, but she hates me so much. After Mom and papa's death, my uncle and aunt changed a lot. I, without saying anything, moved from there to my room. I wiped my tears and started getting ready. I got my bag and moved to the main door. I have my scooty. Which my papa gifted me on my birthday before his death. I went to college. My lectures must be started in some minutes. I come to my class. Where my one and only friend is waiting, Neha. "Hey Neha", I wished her. "Hey, Anu. How r you my friend come sit," she said to make me sit beside her. "I am good. So what are you doing, " I asked her. "Nothing you're...you know na we have to submit our assignments by this Saturday so I competing that only. " OK" I replied. "So what happened to you," she asked me? "Nothing " I replied. "Don't, Anisha. I know you..so come on tell me .. she knows me so much better than anyone. I narrowed out everything about the morning. After that, our lectures started back to back. In the break, we move to the canteen and have lunch. "Neha..you move to class. I have some work with the principal, sir." I informed her. "You want me to come with you," she asked me. "No you go to class," I said, moving to the principal's room. My college is one of the best colleges in Delhi. "May I come in sir?" I asked his permission. "Yes," he permitted her to go in. "Yes, Anisha. How are you, Dear? How Is your Grandfather " he asked, but he was not alone in his room? There is one gentleman also with him. Around his age. "I am good and dadaji is also good" I replied to him. "So how come you are here..? Everything is good in college.? He again asked me. "Sir...You only called me yesterday.." I replied to him while looking down. That man is also looking at me. I feel uncomfortable around strangers. Because I don't interact with many people. In college, Neha was only my friend. My chain of thought was broken by the principal, sir. "Ohh yeah, I forgot...Anisha, we have an inter-college quiz competition next month. I want you to participate in this competition." He said, which made me shocked. I have an exam in some months. How will I prepare myself for that? "But, sir, I have an exam in some months.. then how can I? I explained to him in a low tone... "I know, dear, but we still have time for your exam," he said. I tried to explain to him. "Look, Anisha, I know you are a bright student and I am very confident about you. So...I have already given your name to the participation list and we have other cultural activities, so if you want, then you can participate in any other activities also." He explained everything. "No Sir...I don't want to participate in other activities", I told him my decision. "I knew it. That is why I have given your name in a quiz competition and how many times do I need to tell you that don't call me Sir in my cabin...?? " he asked me and I looked at him and then a man who was sitting on a chair in front of Sir's chair and all the conversation. Sir is my father's best friend. He is like a father figure to me. He cares for me like his own daughter. He treats me and Neha equally because Neha is his daughter. After my father died he only suggested, Adaji admit me to his college. He always forced me to call him uncle, but I don't want anyone to come to know about my relationship with uncle. Or else people will think that I am taking advantage of it. I gave him a look, then looked at that man.. who was giving questioning looks to me and Sir. "Sorry, Randhir. I forget you between our conversations. She is Anisha, my best friend's daughter and a very bright student of this college." He said," make me introduce myself to him". "And Anisha is Randhir Singh Shekhawat. A wonderful businessman and trustee of our college and my friend also," He said, with a smile on his face. "Hello, Sir.." I wished him to move toward him and touch his feet because he is my uncle's friend and elder to me. "Hey, he are you doing, Beta," he said, stopping me. "You don't need to do this," he said. "But you are older and my uncle's friend, also, so.." I kept that point of view. "No Beta, you are like a daughter." he said, and I looked at him with a smile. "So what is your name?" He asked. "Anisha Sharma " I replied to him. "Your name is beautiful just like you.." he said, putting his hand on my head with a genuine smile on his face. Now I do not feel uncomfortable around him. "Anisha, I want you to participate in the quiz competition. I am happy that a bright student like you is part of this organization," he said in a proud tone. I feel happy listening to him. "Yes sir. I will participate and give my best" I said to him... "Don't call me Sir." He said with a bit stern, I gave him a shocked yet scared look. But he smiles at me... "Call me Uncle," he said to make me shocked, and Arvind's Uncle was also shocked like me. "But how can I? It made a bad impression on me.. You are sincere and a trustee of this college..so. " I tried to explain to him. But he smiled while looking at me, Arvind Uncle. "No my child..it will not look. Arvind is your uncle.. so I am Arvind's friend. So you can call me uncle like him...Okk" he said. I think about it. "Yes sir..." I said. He gave me a strange look... "I mean Uncle.." I said. "Arvind arranged extra classes for Anisha. I don't want her studies to suffer because of a quiz competition." He said, made me shocked. Arvind's uncle nodded his head instantly. "Now you don't need to worry about your studies, OK.. our institute will be happy to find bright students like Anisha." He said and made me smile... He thinks so much about my studies... " OK, so now you are happy Anisha," Uncle Arvind asked me. I just nodded. " OK uncle.. can I go now? Because my lectures must start in some minutes.." I said and asked his permission. "Yes dear, you can go now and if you need any help in the quiz competition feel free to ask me ..OK." He said, with a smile. I just nodded and smiled at him. Then I moved toward the door to leave the cabin, but before I left I turned again... "Thank you, uncle," I said thanks while looking at Randhir Sir. And smiled at him. He also looks at me with a smile. After I moved to my classroom, Neha is already waiting for me. She gave me a questioning look. I explained to her everything about the competition and Sir Arvind. Our lectures started again. Around 4:30 we completed our college. And moved to our home. I reached my room. And take a short nap for some time because today is very tiring for me. Around 6:30 I woke up. After freshening up. I prepared tea for everyone. Me and grandfather have tea together and Chachi Ji is in the room. I explained to grandfather about my day and competition. He was very happy after that, I prepared dinner. After having dinner together, we all move to their room. I also gave grandfather his medicine, then he came to my room. I needed to complete my assignment, but today I don't have any energy now. So I went to bed and looked at my parents' photos... then closed my thinking about all days... I prayed to god in my heart. Give strength to me so that I make my parents proud and happy in my family. Slowly I slip into a deep slumber. ***********************************
