“Hi. Can I come in? Am I disturbing?” “Come in, you’re not. I’m already finished.” She skips inside with a childlike smile, carrying a tote bag, and my heart almost breaks at the sight. “Did you have a good day?” “Quite good. Most people survived it today. It’s been a productive day,” I point to the dental chair with a grin, at that she begins to laugh as well, and gently pushes my shoulder. My body flushes with heat at once. Her touch, her skin against mine works like an aphrodisiac. “You got in late last night. Is everything okay?” “Yes, things kept me away. I was looking for a camera, for my photography course, you know.” “Oh, so it’s that serious.” “Dead serious,” she laughs, and sweetly shrugs her shoulders. I’m glad I happen to be sitting, because I believe I would fall over.
