I hadn't been walking for too long when the sound of a car travelling at speed caught my attention. Why the f**k would anyone be around here at this time of night?
My heart raced as I considered the possibility that it was Gabriel's men, hunting me down with some evidence they had found, or if those disgusting creatures had managed to get their hands on some form of transportation to catch up with me, but that panic was soon laid to rest when a car screeched to a halt in front of me and Nicole's concerned face stared out at me in disbelief before quickly crumpling into irritation.
