"Get her out," my wolf said, disgust rolling through each word.
"Go to bed, Chelsea." I said without looking at her, feeling my irritation flare again. "You don't need to be here."
This whole situation could have been avoided and I could be married off and mated to Layla by now if she hadn't come to me with her drama and her health issues, begging me to intervene. She knew that I could never turn my back on her, especially when she named our relationship as the root cause of her true mate's rejection of her, and she had used that to her advantage.
I was well aware of it, I was just powerless to say no to her. If I had known back then that Chelsea wasn't suitable Luna material because of her bloodline, I would never have pursued her so relentlessly.
