XAVIER'S POV
It has been exactly three days since I met my second chance mate, three days since she told me she didn't need me and rejected me and shut the door in my face like I repulsed her.
FLASHBACK
I was standing beside Lucian's bed as the doctor attended to him. Rowan was standing by the door, deep in his thoughts.
He was in a really tight situation because their family reputation had been ruined because of his sister's action but at the same time, he couldn't leave her to die.
My dad was more mad than ever and insisted that he wouldn't do anything to save her but I was damn sure that Lucian wouldn't accept that and he would be able to convince my dad otherwise.
For that to happen, Lucian had to wake up first which was looking like something that would take a long time.
