SELENA’S POV I was still on the kitchen counter, Lucian in between my legs and his arms around my waist when I turned to look at him. Caius. He was in the doorway of the kitchen, his eyes on me, his anger blazing. I was trying to catch my breath, but Lucian didn't move from his position. His cold eyes strained harder and glared at his brother. ‘This was completely wrong. Things were not supposed to end up this way.’ I placed both palms on Lucian's chest and pushed him back slowly. "Let me down," I breathed. His eyes darted to mine and softened. He nodded and backed away from me. I descended from the counter, stiff feet on the cold floor, my pounding heart. I could feel Caius's glare still upon me as if a massive weight weighing me down. "So this is your next option," Caius growled.
