CHAPTER 4

I loved the slight feeling of his hands touching mine. I know I should be scared of his man but I find myself warming up to him.

It’s best to be friends with him since I will be married to him soon, it’s not the best decision though but I don’t have a choice.

I plan on telling him tonight that I have accepted to be his wife over dinner of course. So I went into the kitchen but discovered that the pasta was finished. I went into my room and put a call across to Lucas.

“Hey Lucas, hope you are good? We are out of stock for pasta and other ingridents. Can you put through a call to get it stocked back?” I tabled the situation.

“Okay, I’ll ensure the kitchen is restocked in 2 hours. Would you need any other thing?”

“Actually yes, what’s the best way Antonio loves to eat his pasta. Which flavor or kind do you thing he will enjoy”. Lucas didn’t expect the question but he smiled and replied her “Lasagna pasta”, he loved it.

3 hours later, kitchen ware is restored. So I went into the kitchen and got my ingredients ready. After spending 2 hours in the kitchen, I prepared the meal.

Now, All I have to do is to wait for his return so I decided to go take my bath and put on a clothe and nice perfume.

At exactly 6pm he came into the mansion where we live. I watched him come close with a smile, and asked me “how did your day go?”

“well, it was nice”. I saw him look towards the door twice before he spoke up, “someone is here to see you” he said to me.

“You must be kidding me right? I do not know anyone in this town or city so how can anyone just want to see me?”

I looked towards the door to see my best girl KHRIS!! I RUSHED TO WHERE SHE WAS STANDNG and hugged her with all the happiness in my heart.

Looking at Antonio, “how did you find her?” I asked, oh “she found me, while looking for you and sent a call across”.

I hugged Khris so tightlty, “I’ve missed you so much” I said to khristaina, “I’ve missed you more” she replied.

So I prepared lasagna, lets dig in I adviced. With that everyone went to the dinning and foods were dished.

I could see that they all enjoyed the meal and that gave me great pride. Then I turned to Antonio, “I say yes to being your wife”, I said this with the lowest tone expected. “good choice he blurted out”.

“Of course I can come” he spoke into his phone as he left the dinning into his study. I packed up the plates with the help of Khris and did the dishes. We sat at the living room, “Hope it hasn’t been too difficult?” she asked me protectively. “I’m fine where I am my love, if need arises for your following and wounds I will come straight to you”.

Khristaina relocated to her own apartment, just to stay close to me. This made me so happy and I loved her more for that.

Once it was 8pm she took her leave, of course after giving me a good hug. I saw her to the gate and returned alone.

I met him waiting for me on the couch. “someone finally decided to leave his study?” with my hands folded across each other.

I watched his face keenly, and I noticed a sweet warm smile creep up into his face gently while he lightly ruffled his hair like a baby. “I felt you both needed your space to talk”. Gosh this man is so handsome, less scary and homely when he smiles.

I knew this was a part of him that only few number of people has seen if not non in a long while, and I’m so happy about the fact that I got to see it firsthand.

“Could you smile at me more when you are around me?” this statement of mine got him thinking while he ruffled his hair. I knew he was thinking of how possible my request was, because smiling isn’t part of how he lives.

“I’ll try he finally answered, giving me that contagious smile again”. This smile does something to my body that I can not really explain now, I really love it, it has a way of warming me up.

Let’s see a movie together, what would you want to watch? He asked me, while handing the remote over to me.

How about we make pop corn first, I suggested. Of course that would be lovely, lead the way.

I walked into the kitchen with him behind me, I brought out the saucepan, and hit it. I put in my pop corn kernel, sprinkled salt and put in some butter.

“Why are you being nice even when I have been cruel to you ever since we got to meet”.

I smiled at him “my life is already complicated, so I try my be as happy and nice as I can and share that vibes around those close to me.

Once it started to pops he went over to help me shake it till it was all popped. I added in our milk and put it into the popcorn cup available and went back into the living room.

We spent hours seeing a beautiful romantic movie and few hours discussing about the events of the movies while relating it to ourselves and other people around. I haven’t so much in a very long while like I did tonight.

I thought Antonio’s smiles was the best but the moment I saw him laugh I paused. I wanted to remain in that moment, it was a deep belly-laughter, it was so unique and amusing. He slept off with his head on my laps while I told him a little story about my beautiful childhood.

He had a really pretty and calm look on him while asleep. It was way to peaceful, I was feeling sleepy myself so I just closed my eyes, reminiscing on today’s event I smiled to myself.

“He is changing, I love this change” I murmured to myself and slept off.
