Sarah’s POV The weight of victory feels heavier than the loss. The fields around the packhouse, once full of life and energy, are now littered with the remains of the battle: splintered wood, scorched earth, and the ever-present smell of blood. The morning after, everything feels too quiet, like the world is holding its breath. The pack celebrates, but it's a hollow victory, and I can feel the loss in every bone of my body.
