Chapter 4: University

Lila is quite excited for her University.
She prepared everything, according to her She needs. She is studying Interior designing and in 2nd year.
She is looking at ceiling of her room and started thinking about tomorrow
" What type of student are you Lila? ,
a good!, or a... trouble maker! "
She keep questioning herself, creating different scenario about her past university life. Some scenarios are quite normal but some are naughty. She started giggling to herself.
It is the first time after accident she smiled and feel relaxed. But this moment didn't lady longer. Suddenly her thoughts went toward her Father and Brother's behaviour.
'They are behaving quite distant from her.
It looks like she did something and her brother, he is quite intimidating. What I did in past? Am I Trouble maker?. And what type of relation I have toward my family, Specially my older brother'
Thinking like this, she went to dream land.
Next morning, she wake up early in excitement. After taking and bath and stuff, now she is standing in front of her wardrobe in confused manner.
"Ahh, I only have shirt dresses!, But I don't want to wear it. Let's find something else, may be there is some jeans of something normal. "
then she started to find out a decent dress.
She is here for a week, but in this entire week, she just wear a casual cloths for home, that are decent one. So, she didn't explore her another wardrobe. Or you can say , she is busy in analysing her situation.
At last she find out a blue flared jeans and short full length arm T shirt.
After getting ready for university, she came down for breakfast.
Every one is here at breakfast table, except her brother.
" Good morning mom and dad"
she greeted them and sat at dinning chair.They greeted back to her.
Then her brother also came for breakfast, wearing a casual cloths jeans and t shirt. He sat on chair opposite to Lila. Then he noticed her cloths, he stared at her weirdly.
And then asked her, in his deep and calm voice
" you changed your style? "
Hearing his question even Carlos and Amelia also noticed her cloths.
Getting attention of everyone, Lila got nervous specially because of Her brother and Father's gaze.
She replied in her soft voice hesitantly
" Ahh, I.. I just feel comfortable I.. in this t.. type of cloths "
then she looked at Xavier but when her eyes locked with his cold ones, she unconsciously
looked down.
don't know why, but whenever she faces Xavier, she feel chills. She got scared.
after few seconds she looked toward her parents and said
" ... M.. Mom! and d.. dad! I want to bought some comfortable cloths. In my w.. wardrobe everything.. is so.. uncomfortable.
C.. can you please buy me some? "
she asked hesitantly in low voice
and looked at Carlos for his permission.
Everyone is shocked, and specially Carlos her dad. Because Lila never asked permission for anything.
she like to buy and she never asked before.
So it is little surprising for him.
seeing her gaze he didn't make her wait
and replied in cold tone , but it is little warmer than before.
" okay, you can, Xavier help her after college"
"okay dad"
After getting permission Lila feel happy and also hearing her dad's little warmer tone
she feel good.
she smiled at her parents and thanked them.
On other side
After seeing her change, her parents Carlos and Amelia didn't focus too much. They just feel happy that she is starting to change.
But, Xavier is different, he feels something is off. She suddenly changed her style, even asked permission for shopping.
Then he he finished his breakfast and then looked at Lila who is slowly slowly eating her breakfast.
" Get up Lila, you don't want to late for your university ! or do you? , After all you don't want to waste your efforts, right! "
he said to her in his calm voice but in sarcastic way.
Lila didn't understand, what he want to say.
She just looked at him with her confused face.
she tried to read between his lines, but she can't.
So she reluctantly stand up from seat snd followed him to his car.
She sat with him in his car. Inside the Car environment is so awkward. No one break this awkward and heavy silence.
Lila want to say something, but His aura is so intimidating that she don't know, what she should say to break this silence.
So she started to look outside the car. After few minutes they reached at University.
Lila looked at the gate, she suddenly feel nervous and anxious. Her hands started to sweat.
Xavier noticed that Lila didn't get down from the car. So he questined her
" What happened Lila?? Don't you want to go university? "
hearing his question she came to her senses and looked at Xavier in nervousness.
and asked him
" Brother Xavier!, ... I.. If you d.. don't mind, can you please help in University ? "
she stuttered while asking him and feel anxious that, what if he refused?
He calmly stared at her eyes with out saying anything. And his quietness make her feel more nervous.
After observinv her for few seconds he replied
" Okay , wait for me i will park the car"
hearing his positive replied she took a deep breath and relaxed . Then she get down from car.
'I thought he will refused, but thanked God he didn't.
Brother Xavier is so intimidating, I don't know what I did in past that he is so vary toward me? '
she is thinking like this when Xavier came and took her to University.
He introduced her to her class, her course and surrounding.
Then he went back.
At University
The hallway echoed with whispers as Lila cautiously made her way through the crowd. Everything felt strange and unfamiliar, and she could sense the hostility from her classmates. Confused, she approached a group of students, hoping to find some answers.
"Look who decided to show up," one girl sneered, shooting a disdainful glance at Lila.
Another boy muttered, "After everything she did, she thinks she can just waltz back in here like nothing happened."
Lila , still grappling with amnesia, struggled to understand the weight of their animosity. She felt like an outsider in her own life. As she entered the classroom, the cold stares intensified, and the air hung heavy with judgment.
Her attempts to engage with classmates were met with icy silence, leaving her isolated and bewildered.
She keep thinking ,what she did? why everyone is so hostile toward her. She is sitting at front bench but nobody is talking to her, on the opposite everyone keep whispering about her.
After few minutes Alen came inside, seeing Lila back. He is surprised, he went back to his usual seat which is behind the Lila.
Lila didn't noticed him, she is just so engrossed in her thinking. Then professor came, everyone got silent. Seeing Lila back and Xavier also inform about her condition.
So, He decided to inform everyone in class.
"I have some announcement for everyone.
First of all welcome back Lila. and then class Lila suffered from Amnesia, so i want cooperation from everyone"
hearing the professor, everyone got surprised
including Alen.
some started to commenting her
" she thinks, if she pretends to get amnesia, everything got right? "
seeing the commotion professor silence the class. And he started his lesson.
Everyone whidpering about her. Lila feel awkward and heavy after hearing everyone 's sarcastic opinion.
On the other hand
Alen is also shocked, he can't believe that she got amnesia. But in whole class, she didn't noticed him.
His friend, Justin who is sitting beside him, said to him
" Do you think, she got amnesia?
Or it is just trick? "
" it must be a trick, you saw the behavior of everyone. She must be scared to face everyone, so she thought to play this drama"
The guy who is sitting behind Alen replied in
anger.
" cool down, Edward, may be she really got amnesia? "
hearing Justin's reply, Edward scoffed and said in sarcastic tone
" Devil never change, You think she will changed. Do you forget, what she did with Alexia ? "
Justin got silent after hearing his words. He try to said something, but Alen interrupted them
" leave it, focus on class, we don't have to care about irrelevant people "
they both got silent after hearing his words.
When they are saying everything, their volume is little high.
So Lila heard everything, she feel so hurt after listening them.
After class finished, she took her books snd get out from the class.
