If I died at this moment, I was going to die a very happy man, but I would be pissed that I had to die when I finally got a taste of sweetness.
Melanie kissed me. She f*****g kissed me and I didn’t have to threaten or ask her to. She did it of her own free will.
Not a lot of things surprised me but this took me by surprise, so much so that I held still trying to convince myself that this was really happening.
But I felt her lips disentangling from mine all too soon. She probably thought my unresponsiveness was because I didn’t want to kiss her but she couldn’t be more wrong and I’ll be damned if I let her go.
