"Hello…. I'm right here," I said, infuriated that they were ignoring me.
“We know exactly where you are, little nurse,” Adriano replied.
“Then stop talking as if I'm invincible!” I yelled.
“No need to yell, dear. We're just looking out for you,” Alice said.
“I'm quite capable of taking care of myself,” I replied.
“That's why you're trying to skip breakfast?” Adriano asked.
“I don't need a lecture from you and neither do you control what I eat,” I huffed.
He ignored me and turned to, Alice. “Like I said, she doesn't leave this house unless she's eaten breakfast.”
