AJ'S P. O. V. Sitting in my tent, thinking about everything that's happened in the last twenty-four hours, I just cannot imagine my life without Dani now. She told me she loved me and my whole world lit up, but then it all shattered apart the very next second when she left through that portal. The thought of never seeing her again had me messed up on a level I've never experienced before. Then she, somehow, managed to come back, but she couldn't even bring herself to look me in the eye. My heart aches all over again at the memory. What is up with her? And why the hell did she strike a "deal" with Selene of all people!?
