  A slow, deliberate clap shattered the night air.   Gia's heart lurched as she tore herself free from Rio's arms, whipping toward the sound.   Jack stood at the edge of the deck. Barely illuminated by the soft lights, his face was morphed into something dark by the shadows, but his eyes burned sharp, and the fury beneath his calm was unmistakable.
