"Ladies and Gentlemen, a round of applause for this jackass who is my father!" Rio was standing, a waiter was sprawled on the floor, a tray of dishes shattered in pieces beside him. "What the hell is going on here?" Celeste asked. I hurriedly grabbed Rio's arm. "What are you doing?" I hissed through gritted teeth. Everyone was watching now. Phones were out. I was mortified and immensely embarrassed. "Our first date after ten years, and you do this?" Jackson, ever unbothered but angry, remained seated, sipping his wine with unsettling calm. "It's quite normal, Gia. I'm just waiting on security to throw him out." If we weren't in public, I'd have smacked the smugness out of both of them. The waiter picked himself up, and Jackson offered him an apology before he left.
