"Happy birthday to you… Make a wish, sweetie," Rio said and gently tucked her hair behind her ear.
She closed her eyes and blew out the candle with a big smile and cheers.
Gianna's birthday should have been perfect.
But the empty chair at the diner table haunted her… Jack was nowhere to be found.
"Is he coming?" She asked Celeste, who was already tipsy before the party started.
Celeste always needed an excuse to throw a party, and today was one of those days.
As usual, Gia didn't know half of the guests.
"You mean Jackson? He's been avoiding me for days now, and when I called him, he said he was too busy with work," she said with a dismissive wave.
