  "Shh," she cooed mockingly, pressing a finger to his lips. "Don't waste your breath. You'll need it."   He stumbled, and she guided him back against the wall, her body pressed tight against his. His fists balled weakly at his sides, his pride screaming even as his body betrayed him.   "You should've loved me, Rio," she whispered. "All I ever wanted was for you to choose me. But you chose her. Always her." Her nails scraped lightly down his chest. "So now… I choose for you."   He tried to snarl, tried to spit some last shred of defiance, but the dizziness dragged at him. His words slurred, his body sagging as the drug sank deeper.   Whitney's smile was cruel and sweet as she cradled his face, watching him fade. "That's it. Give in.
