I appear in the field outside of Lilith’s and glance around, making sure the coast is clear.
I wander over past her red protection barrier into the warmer forest section. I go straight over and knock on her front door, tucked neatly in the trunk of a large tree.
“Who’s there??” She shouts out angrily from behind her closed door.
“Jade.. you helped me with my curse a while back?” I say meaning to sound more confident than I come off.
She opens the door and steps back to make room for me to come in. “You’re late.. but you came alone. That’s good.”
“I hadn’t realized you were expecting me. Sorry I’m late. It’s nice to see you again.” My manners take over automatically.
I step inside and I’m reminded of the last time I was here. The small cozy cabin where we all made stew together
