Vengeance's Call

Chapter 1: Manipulation.

Pain. That's all I feel at this moment. Why did I do that? It's all I'm feeling. I can see the blood. It's not all mine. Part of the blood is my own parents. Yet it's all over me. What is wrong with me? Why did I believe him? Questions race through my mind faster than a car on a racetrack. I feel pain, yet I have no serious wounds. Blood is all over me, yet some of it is not mine. Why? That's the only question I keep asking. Why…?

"It's all your fault." A deep and dark voice calls out. Who is it? Why is he talking to me? Thoughts continue racing through my mind faster than they ever could before. I looked over, and I saw it was him. The man who manipulated me. Is he even human...? Why is he here? Why? WHY DID I DO All THIS?

Now I remember. Bade. It was Bade. That's not this supernatural entity in front of me. That's my dog. That damn car. It changed everything. I wish I had paid more attention to her that day. She was my best friend. I went insane with grief. Is that why I'm holding this knife...? The dark reaper in front of me speaks again. "My name is Thanatos. I had to manipulate you. You see, every spirit I gain makes me grow stronger. So your four for one family was a great help in taking down the seven deadly sins!"

I have a feeling. It's near my heart, it's not pain, but it's like a shooting feeling from near my ribs all the way to my hands. I eventually felt the cold tip of a blade, yet it was not the knife. It's a blade. Where did it come from? Why was I able to summon this blade? The reaper speaks again.

"Ah, impressive! I have never met a human who could manipulate his spiritual core without training!" Spiritual core? What does that even mean? Who is this guy? "I am what humans call death. Yet my true name is Thanatos. The true name you would give me is the god of death." God of death. So that's who he is. I remember him. I saw him in my room a few hours before I did this. I got ready with the Blade, ready to fight him. Thanatos began to speak again.

"Don't get hasty. I have a mission for you that can bring back your family." What do I say? What would be the right option? He manipulated me once… But he does have a good offer... what do I do? "What's your offer?" I'd aim the blade at him while asking this. "You take down the seven deadly sins which I have been reaping souls to prepare for a fight with. Defeat them and I will revive your family. I'll let them live, and you won't have to suffer. That's our deal. Fail, and I will have your family's souls!" That's the last thing I remember. I saw his scythe s***h before waking up in a field.
