“The escape tunnel? Of course!” Gwenn spoke out loud to Ketha, who now resided once more in her body, after her three-day reconnaissance mission abroad. “I can remember playing down there as a child.”
Ketha said, “Your stepfather seems to think the tunnel is impassable, so perhaps it would not be of much use to us.”
“He is wrong. Fallen timbers block the tunnel in the middle, but there is a space large enough for one person to squeeze through and it could easily be made wider. We could move our men in by night, and assemble everyone in the tunnel for a sneak raid on the treasury.”
