Elara stood at the edge of the balcony of the guest room she was staying in that night. The night air was very cold, but that wasn't what made her body shiver. Her mind was preoccupied with one thing: Adrian had returned.
She should have felt relieved. Hadn't she been praying all this time that the man she married, the man she considered her love, would be safe? Hadn't she wanted Adrian to be there so that everything could go back to the way it was before her wedding day turned into a fog of secrets?
