Kellan. We got out of the car, and I went to open the door for Isra for her to step out of the car. Her eyes looked tired and I wanted her to stay away from school today. I don’t know why she wasn’t listening to what I was saying to her. “Kellan, look.” Delcan called my attention to something on the door, and I looked away from Isra and headed towards the door. Something was wrapped as a present and kept beside the guard. I called on the guard and asked them how this got to be there in the house and they said they had no idea how it got there. I picked it up and opened it. There was a card inside the box which said, “You did well, today as expected, I don’t have to deal with another weakling like your father.” I squeezed the card in my hand tightly till my knuckles turned white
