Before Stella could get a word out, Ethan's face already darkened completely, storm clouds gathering across his features. He asked in a frigid, sharp tone, "Quite in a good mood, aren't you? Went out for pizza, huh?" 'Ugh, this man's got a nose like a bloodhound!' On her way out of the pizza place, she'd stopped by the perfume shop next door. The salesgirl had practically shoved a tester under her nose and sprayed a few spritzes on her clothes—"free sample," she'd said.
