For the last few days, I haven’t been able to even sleep.
It’s almost impossible to ignore my father’s betrayal and the cruel streak I never thought he possessed. With me, he acts normally. I wouldn’t say he’s friendlier than usual, but it definitely seems like the whole problem is behind us. Like he’s no longer upset about Lilieth.
Wrong. He is.
So upset that he went behind my back and planned that meeting to discuss her death.
And all the while, I’m supposed to stay in the dark and think that it was an accident, along with everyone else.
