Lilieth I stare at my mother, utterly speechless. I have no idea what I could say to something like this. Maybe they’re expecting me to say something, but I don’t know what I could reply to all of this. My mother is the one to break the silence. “Alpha Draven? He’s half-Emberborn. Did you notice how his wolf was smaller and his fur tinged with red?” I did, but didn’t make much of it. “Leadership was never about size. The Alpha-borns made it that way.” Alpha Draven. An Omega. This sounds almost impossible to believe. “I’d that why he’s on our side?” “He believes in what’s right.” This explains why everyone believes he’s so trustworthy. “You never told us,” I mention. “We went our whole lives without knowing.” “It was easier that way. At least, that’s what I thought,” she claims.
