The sound of someone knocking on the door makes me open my eyes suddenly.
By the goddess. What time is it?
I sit up quickly, feeling somewhat disoriented. I look out the window and see that it’s morning. I’m shocked. I was waiting for Cadeon to arrive but it seems he never did, unless he knocked on the door and I didn’t hear it because I was asleep. I didn’t lock the door, though, so he would’ve just come into the room.
Right?
Rubbing my eyes, I rise from the bed and take the couple of steps it takes to reach the door, eager to see his face.

“Good morning!” the woman standing a few feet away from me says before waving. “I’m Instructor Cadence, and I’m here to ask you to join the class. You’re about ten minutes late.”
