My breath hitched in my throat. Instinctively, I wanted to take a step back, but I clutched the straps of my backpack and forced myself to stand my ground. I curved my lips into a polite smile. "Long time no see, Mr. Sterling." Sebastian's jaw ticked. His deep eyes locked onto my face, analyzing every inch of me. "You're good," he murmured dangerously. "You actually made me search for three entire years." "Not as good as you," I replied with a mocking smile. I thought I had managed to slip completely under his radar, but he had tracked me down less than two hours after my security clearance at the lab was lifted. I should be thanking the government for giving me three years of absolute peace to build my career. Now that my sanctuary was gone, it was time to deal with my own mess.
