My heart froze as time slowed down and the words that kept echoing through my mind was that of the teacher’s.

My lips wobbled and I stuttered out. “M-Medusa, it was supposed to be Medusa’s statue” I fisted my skirt, swallowing hard before I shot a glare at Renee’s back.
I darted my eyes to Lennox who had a coy smile tugging at the corner of his lips and slowly, something in me shifted, one puzzle piece clicking into place.
My lips parted open, anger coursing through my veins as he stared at me dead in the eye.
The triplets were behind the prompts being changed. They must have manipulated their dad into changing it and since their dad was the school’s biggest sponsor and my parents were second after him, then it was possible.
