Chapter 6Standing on the train station platform with Priel at his side, Ull nodded at Matty and Vilmos.
“Thanks for everything. For being there for Priel, and for me.” He glanced at Priel, who smiled. His beloved angel looked fit and healthy, and his expression was calm and serene, but he still tired too easily for Ull’s liking.
But he’ll have me to care for him for the next couple of months, I intend to nurse him back to full health even if it means waiting on him hand and foot.
“Yes, thank you.” Priel stepped forward, kissing Matty then Vilmos on each cheek. “We owe you a great deal.”
“You don’t owe us anything,” Vilmos replied, his voice unusually gruff. “You and Ull would have done as much, if not more, for Matty or me.”
