Celestial's heart was racing as he tried to process Angel's words. Did she mean that she was relying on him financially? He didn't mind supporting her, but he wanted to make sure she knew that she was capable of achieving her dreams on her own.
As the dinner came to a close, Celestial walked Angel home, his mind buzzing with questions.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Celestial said, as they stood outside Angel's apartment.
"Of course," Angel replied, looking up at him with curious eyes.
"What did you mean earlier when you said I'd support you?" Celestial asked, trying to sound casual.
Angel's expression changed, and she looked taken aback. "I didn't mean it like that," she said quickly. "I just meant that I feel supported by you emotionally. You make me feel seen and heard."
Celestial felt a wave of relief wash over him. "I'm glad to hear that," he said, smiling.
But just as things were clearing up, Angel's phone rang. She looked at the screen and frowned.
"I'm sorry, I have to take this," she said, answering the call.
As Angel walked away, talking on the phone, Celestial couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
Who was on the phone? And why did Angel seem so upset?
