I push the person against the wall and when my eyes adjust, I see it's June. I must've woken Kai when I jumped up, because I heard him move behind me, but I didn't take my focus off June. She tries to stab me with a silver knife, but I grab her hand and bang it against the wall, causing her to drop the knife.
She opens her mouth, and before she can even get a word out, I bang her head hard against the wall, and cover her mouth. “Keep your spells to yourself, b***h,” I say as she closes her eyes. I let go of her and let her fall to the floor, unconscious. Kai pulls me into his arms and nuzzles me. “What the f**k happened?” he asks, when he lets me go and examines me for injuries.
