“She won’t wake up for at least a month,” I say as we leave the cells after I put Shavonne to sleep. I am proud to say that I have mastered my power so much, that I know exactly how much to give.
We head up to our room for some much-needed rest. I am glad Selene is okay, but I am worried about her facing Hanbi. But I guess he took her by surprise, and that must be how he caught her. I know she can handle him, but I still worry.
My mind is a million places at once. I am also thinking that there has to be a way for her and Hades to be together. It doesn’t seem fair that she gives everyone the special bond of love, but she is alone. “What’s on your mind, love?” Kai asks me. “It’s just sad that Selene and Hades can’t be together. I wish there was a way,” I say, and they both nod.
