{ Chapter 5 - Reasons }

Ranzel Houlden Zhyrious, the son of Bennette Zhyrious who mostly took over every business around the whole world like an airline, companies, resorts, entertainment and many more. Of course he wouldn't be able to handle every single business he has, he grew even more well knowed with the help of other business partners, his amazing wife who handles half of it on his stead, and after having his first son, everything became perfect.

But the problem is someone surpassed that son of his, instead of getting more opportunities the well known Armani Family got more attention after succeeding on building the highest skyscraper in the world, of course it instantly took oer the attention of the business world and the media.

Because of this situation, those opportunities that should have gone to the son was taken over away from him, and that is a problem.

And worse, the Armani had a debt owed to them.

There have already multiple business companies why do they want more?

Of course, its simply because they are human beings, there is no harm in wanting more, At least for them.

And now the plan is, for Xierra to leak the contracts and plans the Armani couple hsa for Ran, to take action and look for an advantage, like how the opportunity was taken from him he will take that opportunity back, the action is underhanded but who knows?

Maybe he has other reasons?

After their conversation, Ran left the poor Xierra alone in the room with a blank expression, hands gripping the bed sheets in frustration and tears wanting to flow down.

'That m*ther f*cker'

'I thought i could get away, but that man is more scrupulously malicious, how could he threatened me to hurt my sister? Worst he even used my education at stake. And even told me if i ever plan to reveal all of his intentions he would not hesitate to hurt me and the whole Armani, He even revealed the thought of killing the couple but he chose the cleaner way and that i should be thankful?!'

Xierra covered her face in frustration, the party is done and everyone is asleep but she's still awake, recalling those unexpected scenarious earlier never in her life did she ever thought something like that would happen.

The last words of Ran still linger clear inside her mind.

"What- How could you-"

"Then? Will you refuse?" Ran cut her off, his left hand leaving her's and now moved to touch the end of her hair, twisting it around his fingers while his eye remain stuck at hers.

'Now what the hell is this situation?!'

After saying something terrible at her he still acte so gentle at her, that his right hand still holds hers firmly as if he doesn't have any intention of letting it go, now she wonders, does he do this to every single person he threatened at? At all angelic while doing the devils work?!

"How can you even hurt her? She's here right now safe, and everyday she's surrounded and guarded, you can't touch even the tip of her hair!" Xierra confidently argrued, but unfortunately the person she's facing right now is dangerous than anyon and more meticulous than someone.

"Does the thought of that eases you? How weak your imagination is Xie, she's just a human milady, i could easily kill her, torment her, abuse her, and worst ruin her all over, there are so many ways how, and to be honest right here right now i've already thought of the things i can do.

First off, shall i take a call and order someone to-"

Because Xierra could no longer hear this nonsense she slapped away the hand caressing her hair and glared at him deadly, her left hand now gripping his collar, she looked quite frightening and fearless yet the handsome young man only gave her a sweet smirk and eyes boldly daring her, such a bold move with shaken hands and heart.

And it angers her even more, the confusion and the frustrating fact she can't do anything to him, before she could even do a thing to him he might already have caught her throat.

"Your even worse than this pathetic fake parents of mine, say you assh*le what is your goal for this? For what purpose on using me?" Her anger at her tone was evident, and the fact she is scared is also showing.

"I simply want to payback what they owe me, steal their lives and passion, and more importantly....

I want to keep you by my side" He's words sounded gentle and delicate, the sincerity was also there, and the boldness at his gaze was gone and now turned soft for her, and that made Xierra laugh.

"Are you trying to fool around? You don't even know me, is it because you have fallen for me that fast? HAHAHA, don't make me laugh, this is ridiculous" Her voice was cold and her expression grim, 30 minutes have only pass but it felt hours because of how much pressure the situation is for her.

Silence overcame them, and ran persisted on staring at her blanky, not a single emotion was visible at his own majestic eyes, which eventually made Xierra anxious and nervous again.

"W-Why are just staring at me?!" Xierra said in panick, but Ran remain in silence before holding her hand that is gripping at his collar and made her let go gently, in complete confusion she watched him fix his tie and got up from the bed and turned its back at her.

"I'll be back for you someday, for the mean time be a good girl...... Alright Xie?" He simply said before walking towards the door, Xierra was about to speak but he spoke before her.

"Ah, And no i didn't fall for you, like i said-

You're simply fun to annoy at, but careful though. I might get bored and fall for you completely" What his final words are while giving her a last glance, his smirk plastered at his perfect lips and eyes showing a hint of pleased.

And there he left, and now Xierra is stuck unable to sleep, but its fine since tomorrow is her free day, BUT STILL SHE SHOULD BE RESTING NOT GETTING MORE STRESSED?!

Because of how random Ran's actions were it was hard for her to take him seriously, his actions are sudden, his goals are clear but at the same time something is missing, it doesn't make sense to her, it making her head ache more.

'I hope that someday would never come' she thought before finally dripping to sleep.

A week has passed yet nothing unusual has happened ever since then, maybe ran realy just got bored and picked her to pull tricks at right? Right thats all, she doesn't have to worry about him any longer, she just have to focus on her school works any finally graduate and be an artist.

Xierra took a sigh of relief after just finishig painting her sketch, it turned out great than what she expected to be since she she's been troubled lately, now that her work is finish she just have to pass this later after fixing her mess up and go to a nearby store to buy some food, maybe some instant noodles will do it, she didn't want to go to a fast food chain since it will be crowded, she only wanted to eat in peace and quick so she can rest at her room.

She only walked to go to the store since its only close at her school campus, she checked the time at her watch and thankfully she finished early, she have time to do a bit of her work in advance at work later after resting so she can relax more next week, maybe go travelling with Vy so she can enjoy a bit and shake off the anxious feeling just thinking back about what happened at the party, with that person.

She looked around the store, she felt secure to see no one is there at the moment except for the old lady who is the cashier, finally a moment of peace and quietness, unfortunately there was a bit of uproar at the school that completely stressed her out.

She only took her favorite strawberry drink and an instant noodle beef and a few snacks, when she's contented at what she got, she walked towards the cashier and was about to place the food at the counter when a box of cigarettes was placed there first which made her stop.

"Oh i apologize you can go ahead first-"

Xierra was stunned to see the person who got ahead before her and her eyes landing at those desire baring amethyst eyes. Her eyes widen in shock while the other remain calm, with a smirk at his lips.

"Dont worry, ladies first" Ran stated motioning his hand for her to be first, but Xierra was too stunned and only gazed at him, which of course entertained Ran even more.

"Your gaze is dangerous milday, a guy like me wouln't be able to hold back you know?" He teased her which snap her back to reality and now showed an irritated look.

"Did you follow me here? Why are you even here?" Xierra immediately shot back some questions that Ran can't even care less to listen and answer at.

"How atrocious of you Xie, i'm simply buying some cigarettes" Ran said with his gentle voice again, Xierra didn't believe what he said at all but before she could complain she didn't notice how Ran have already pay for her food and is now handing her the plastic of it, she was confused but whispered a thank you and accepted it, its free money and the guy is obviously rich, her conscience on money doesn't work on him.

She sat at the stool and became preparing to cook the instant noodles while drinking at her strawberry drink, she can't help but keep glancing at Ran who is silently watching her at the stool, his right hand holding a stick of cigarette, his other hand supporting his head while his right elbow rest on top of the table.

"What do you want from me?" She asked, her voice hostile.

"How was your day?" Ran asked, the boredness on his tone is evident and the way he acts as if he's tired for some reason.

'He showed up so suddenly and now asking this?!' Xierra thought, waiting for her noodles to be fully cooked while she ate the other snacks, the guys even has the audacity to ask for a piece which she-

gave him of course.

"Honestly bad, but now it got worst that i saw you" Xierra said sarcastically which made Ran laugh, he blew at his cigar and still kept his gaze right at her.

"And here i thought your crying inside because you missed me" Ran teased which successfully made Xierra annoyed at his sentence, she only rolled her eyes and opened the cover of the noodle and ate, she ate quietly while ran somehow got to play with the ends of her hair again.

Xierra enjoyed her food too much that she didnt even notice that, after she finished her food she then faced Ran and raised an eyebrow.

"Aren't you leaving?" She asked impatiently.

"No, not yet. I'm still enjoying the view"

"Please quit with it! You just threatened me that day and your acting that nothing happened right now?! " Xierra bursted out loudly which got been 'shh' by the cashier. she apologized immediately before giving Ran a dead glare

"I said i will meet with you someday, and right now is a coincidence. Therefore just forget about our topic that day and be comfortable right now huh?"
