"You didn't just break my heart; you broke our future", I dolefully touched my womb, felt sorry for my little child inside my tummy. Little they didn't perceive. I'm pregnant and the father is Elvis.
If I only cognize earlier that it was all a prank.
A vociferous whimper soar in my place. I took glance in the guest who's all stunned in their place and a voice of the emcee shutter the unbreakable clamor.
"Alright, folks! Let's proceed on the next part. May we call on Ms. Adaly, a beauteous forbearing bestfriend of our bride."
I stunned in my place. Damn, may pa special message pa pala ako dito. I stare at the two with firmness in my eyes.
"No need to message you in front of your guest. Sa atin na lang, baka mapahiya ka pa Cathy. So, Congrats. You're the brightest among the poisonous fearless snake. I wasn't notify, nakakausap ko na pala ngayon ang mga hayop. And to you, Elvis. Wala ka bang gagawin? Will you let your child grew without your shadow?", I sob and swiftly abandon their place with a perception of pessemism.
It's been a months ago and I promptly promise to myself that I will took an reparation for the alter of my agony.
"Elvis?", I was appalled when I saw him.
"What are you doing here?", I inquired. He gazed at my womb and merely smile.
"Is it a girl or boy?", he asked.
"I'm sorry but you're not welcome here in my place. And I don't want to see you anymore. So, please leave!", I vociferated.
"But", he clutch my hand and leaned on me. "Adaly, please hayaan mo akong alagaan muna kita. Gusto kong nasa tabi mo ako sa oras na ipanganak mo siya", I got delirious as I heard it. Damn!
"No, Elvis. Hinding hindi ko kayo mapapatawad kaya wag kang umasa na makikilala ka ng anak natin. But if you wish, file an annulment! Hiwalayan mo si Cathy, papayagan kita sa gusto mo", I yell.
"But"
"I'm not pleasing you! It's your choice"
"Buntis na rin si Cathy, Adaly", I was shocked as I hearken it. Dibale, it's been a months na silang kasal.
"I'm sorry, Adaly"
I sobbed and abhor myself for still longing. Until my baby was born, I was so blissful and delight when the first time I carried my baby. Not until months ago, my baby looks weaker. Sobra akong nag-alala and I don't know what should I do. But, the world is really unfair. My baby was died because of unknown disease bigla na lang siyang nanghina. This really breaks my heart, lahat na lang ng akin nawawala. Do I deserved this?
Days had passed,
"Adaly?", someone yelled outside and as I open the door, it was Elvis.
"Adaly, where's my child? Please, let me see my child", I sobbed and clinch him.
"I'm sorry, Elvis", I outcry.
"Adaly, let me see my child. Here's the annulment paper, I did it for you and for our child. Gusto kong ayusin ang nasira ko", Elvis explained and I was shock on what he gave.
"Paano si Cathy?"
"Nakapanganak na siya", he replied. Oh, I know and it's a girl.
I bring Elvis in the vacant lot. Kung saan makikita ang lupa na halatang may nakabaon. I glance at Elvis and he started to sob. I can see the anguish in his eyes. I know, masakit ang mawalan ng anak. I can't arrest myself to cry too.
"Anak...anak..Hindi mo man lang hinintay si daddy", Elvis talk to my baby's grave. He looks dumbfounded. This time, I chuckle as I saw this cheater one crying because of loosing his child.
"Anak, I love you", Elvis said while kissing the soil.
I chuckle. I can't take it anymore.
"It's a prank, Elvis!", I giggle.
Elvis gaze at me and features astounded.
"We don't have a child, Elvis. Hindi ako nabuntis, it was all a play! It's a prank", I giggle.
"Why did you do this, Adaly? Nag-file ako ng annulment para magkasama tayo at ang anak natin, and it was all a lie? How dare you Adaly!", he madly glance at me but I'm not frightened.
"I don't care. But I'm not yet done on my reparation, Elvis. Pagbabayaran mo lahat ng sakit na ginawa niyo sa akin, kasama na rin ang aking ahas na kaibigan. Ituloy mo lang ang pag-iyak dahil nandiyan ang anak niyo ni Cathy, buhay kong nilibing", I yelled with surety and chuckled like felon one.
"What?", Elviz gazed at the soil. "Why did you do this? Bakit pati siya?", he madly shout.
"Elvis..elvis ang anak natin nawawala!", napalingon ako sa babaeng nagsalita and it was Cathy.
"Oh, hello my dearest poisonous fearless snake bestfriend. Hanap mo ba ang anak mo? Ayun oh, pasensya na nailibing ko ng buhay", pointing the grave of her child.
Cathy run toward Elvis and cried. I can deem in their faces the agony in their vein. C'mon, mas masakit pa diyan yung ginawa nila sa akin.
"Adaly, bakit? Bakit yung anak pa namin? Pwede namang ako, pero bakit siya?", Cathy yelled.
"Oh C'mon Cathy, I just saved your daughter. Hindi ba't sabi ang anak ang sasalo ng lahat ng karma ng mga magulang nila? So, pasalamat ka sa akin hindi na niya mararanasan yung karma na dapat sa inyo"
"Hanggang ngayon ba Adaly, hindi mo pa rin ako napapatawad? Hiwalay na kami ni Elvis. Pero bat pati naman anak ko dinamay mo pa. Hindi ba't gusto mo lang na maibalik sayo si Elvis. Andiyan na siya diba, asayo na!"
"Oh, Cathy my friend. No woman could love a cheater and not pay the price for it. I don't need a cheater in my life because cheating on me is the worst thing someone could do. Kaya never cheat on someone good to you, Cathy and Elvis. Karma is a b***h!"
"Anak..Anak..", Cathy sobbed on her baby's grave. I chuckle as I saw her trying to get her baby. Pinilit niyang kutkutin ang lupa, damn! Look dumbfounded!
But deep inside a guilt in my vein was oppress. Is this how being cheat build a reparation? Leisurely killing someone through agony?
"Honey", I discern at that voice and it was Billy carrying a baby.
"Stop this play honey, everything is done. Enough na ang paghihiganti", and Billy kissed my forehead. I took a glance at Cathy and Elvis they were both in tears and did'nt notice that Billy was arrived.
I chuckle before I said again this f*****g words. A words that really break me into pieces.
"IT'S A PRANK!", I yelled at them. They glance at me and look shock.
"Hindi niyo anak ang iniiyakan niyo. That's the grave of my baby dog", I said.
And I gave their child. Cathy cried and leaned on me. "Thank you, Adaly", she caress me. Kasabay noon ay ang pagluha ng aking mata. She's still my bestfriend. The one who cheat and betray me but still I love her. They say, that our bestfriend can really turns into our greatest enemy but our enemy can still turns into our bestfriend.
And we abandon them while Billy softly touching my womb while we're walking.
"Take care our baby, darling. Wag ng magpakastress tapos na ang iyong pagbibigay aral sa kanila"
Yes, this time. I'm officially 3 weeks pregnant and the father is my man —Billy.

After 5 years,
I saw myself cuddling my bestfriend, Cathy. We both giggle and wipe our own dried tears as we remember what happened last. Afterwards, we go to our husbands. Holding our pregnancy test. I go to Billy while Cathy go to Elvis, who's both sitting in the sand and having their own conversation.
"Honey", I said to Billy.
"Love", Cathy said to Elvis.
"Look", we gave to our husband our pregnancy test. They were shocked.
"Magiging tatay na uli ako, honey?", Billy outcry with gaiety.
"Ako rin magiging tatay uli ako?", Elvis concieted said.
"Honey, hindi ikaw ang tatay", I speak.
"Love, hindi ikaw ang tatay", Cathy uttered to Elvis.
"Sino?", boys say in chorus.
I point Elvis while Cathy point Billy. They were offended and I can see in Billy's face that he wants to punch Elvis.
I and Cathy chuckle.
"It's a prank", we giggle and said it in chorus.
Forgiveness is clearly a voluntary action. After someone deeply hurts us, forgiveness is something that we choose to do especially when the LOVE in our hearts speaks louder than temporary hate.
Remember, when you forgive you heal, and when you let go, you grow.
