Blood dripped down Jay’s face, into his lap. The papers were dangerously close. “I’ll hold those for you.” I held my hand out, but he growled at me. “I’ve got them.” He snapped. I scowled, clenching my teeth together. “You’re going to get blood on them.” A surge of energy came off him, and the wound healed, sealing shut. He gripped the wheel with the hand holding the papers and wiped the blood with his other arm. His crisp white shirt had splotches of crimson red. I balled up my fists in my lap, glaring out the window. “I know I messed up, but I’m more than capable of holding some papers.” I mumbled, slumping my shoulders. “Do you?
